  1. When Gandalf refers to himself as a servent of the Secret Fire, likely he's refering to Illuvitar (God). He says he weilds the flame of Anor. ... BTW, the name of Gandalf's sword is Glamdring. Perhaps in the EE. The original cut of Return of the King was almost 5 hours. So there was quite a bit he cut out to just to step up the pace of the theater version (And yes there are moments where you can tell something was cut). So who knows? You may just see the new gates of Minas Tirith in the EE. Or you may not....
  2. Ah yes, the whole Scouring of the Shire chapter. Although that chapter could have been done since it's a good hobbits-only scene, I'll have to agree with PJ's decision to leave it out. I was battled-out after Pelenor Fields.
  3. In battroid mode, they don't use the joystick between their legs. Okay that just sounded so wrong for a guy.... Anyways....for battroid mode, they use seperate controllers for the arms and pedals for the legs. Or for that matter, any artbook? Cuz those artbooks got lots of stuff....
  4. Actually, the Grey Havens are where they set off from, not the destination. The destination is called the Undying Lands or Valinor (it's easier to remember it as just the Undying Lands). http://www.taylorcustom.com/localinks/mear.../mearthmap.html http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/default.htm?h...dyinglands.html
  5. http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_...s/Megaroad.html Scroll to the bottom. It lists appearences.
  6. No, we like doing this because we're a bunch of freakin morons.
  7. Come on people! Use the Newbie thread!!!!! http://www.anime.net/macross/production/an...plus/index.html
  8. More to the point, Misa was hand-picked by Global to command the first colonization mission (Episode 36 of SDF Macross). So of course she had to go.
  9. Yes this is a newbie question. They belong here and I suggest you post here next time: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ct=ST&f=2&t=140 To answer your question, the "Y" designates the fighter as a prototype. Much like the YF-22 and YF-23 of our time. Come on mod, lock this thread.
  10. That's cuz we probably didn't know better back then or were under-the-influence. In fact, anime is, generally, for children! So that makes us all sissies! You know, I do recall a thread by justvinnie where he was inspired to keep continue even if it was a hopeless effort, after watching M7. About 2 pages later, that thread became a monkey-crap-fest. So this ain't the first time. Point of this? In a M7 opinion thread, it's always the same people, and it all comes down to the same: Keith is a stubborn kid and it's always the same people bashing it. Well gee, same could be said about everyone and everything else. Everybody is stubborn and and there's always something out there that hates something with a passion. And I won't have it any other way. And you can't blame people for being stubborn about it either. I said it once and I'll say it again. M7 is an acquired taste.
  11. Legend of Twilight's Bracelet was licensed just this past year. With the new year coming in just a few days along with the next string of conventions, I'm quite sure some more .hack will be in there.
  12. The design isn't bad at all. But it doesn't have that Predator feel to it.
  13. Throughout M7, people were able to generate spiritia even if they weren't special nor did they need to sing. Bingo. On the subject of porn....most of us guys will probably generate spiritia watching porn.
  14. Tomino is credited as creator of Gundam in Gundam Seed (i.e. Based on "ShowX" created by .....).
  15. You're quite right that it's an animation mistake cuz they use the thing in the series.....But dream all you want .
  16. And you wonder why, a M7-lover myself, hasn't added fuel to this fire....
  17. The Houses of Healing will be in the EE. PJ confirmed it Newsweek.
  18. The designs for the VF-4 from those video games would still belong to BW (Macross name on game, yadda, yadda, yadda) whether Kawamori did them or not. But the simple answer is, unless HG comes up with their own transformation of the VF-X-4, they really can't use any design BW created. Also, IIRC, the designs for those games was for the VF-4, not the VF-X-4. And since they have no claim on the VF-4, it's not going to be a big problem.
  19. #1 all-time misconception about the VF-1D: [rant] THE VF-1D IS NOT A FREAKIN TRAINER PEOPLE. WHERE THE HELL DOES IT SAY IT IS A TRAINER?????? Get it out of your heads that the VF-1D is a trainer! [/rant] http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_.../vf1/index.html The VT-1 is a trainer. http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_.../vf1/index.html http://www.anime.net/macross/story/glossar...y/index.html#VT Don't know. There's another VF-1D on guard-duty in episode 7. Armed-recon perhaps? General-purpose 2-seater fighter perhaps? You could always try experimenting with colors? Try modeling it after Shin's VF-0D or the cannon fodder VF-0D? (Courtesy of Bandai)
  20. Why not just watch 'em and find out?
  21. The VF-X-4 does indeed transform. See page 66 of the Kawamori Macross Design Works. There is a concept drawing of the VF-X-4 in GERWALK.
  22. Okay just to clarify some points. The VF-4 that appears in Macross is not the VF-4. It is the VF-X-4. HG is well within it's rights to use the VF-X-4. However, should they attempt to use the VF-4, then we are treading on unfriendly territory. (Pics courtesy of MAHQ.net) VF-X-4 VF-4 See? There's a difference.
  23. That part is true. Unless there's some determining factor, best way to know is to do an ultrasound scan.
  24. I don't believe that point has ever been addressed in Macross. No clue. Sorry. You might want to check with the Gundam sites.
