  1. Looks bitchin. I prefer the movie to the games anyhow. Because its about more than inventory management and stupid key puzzles with a side order of awful camera angles. Sure its not a Romero zombie epic, but it does what it does well. Its an action movie with zombies and Milla's hotness. Works for me.
  2. I got Cody. Bleah. Considering I seem to play nobody besides Chun Li, this is wierd.
  3. http://www.werewolves.org/~two/Rants/2rant-anime.mp3 Warning: foul language inside. Those with an overly sensitive disposition may want to relax before listening. Ive wanted to say similar things to a great many people who have posted on a great many anime/geek sites. It IS offensive, and apparently the guy is a furry, which actually makes this amusingly ironic, though still amazingly true. (Though IMHO, lusting after Rei Ayanami is just as creepy as lusting after Babs Bunny.) Listen and think. Perhaps it will remove the otakudom from some of us here and turn us back into more reasonably intelligent anime enthusiasts. Or it will just piss people off. Either way works for me.
  4. Well, that IS Spider Man anyhow. Its all about Peter. What? You want more movies like Batman where the Caped Crusader might as well not even be there?
  5. They already have a Castlevania/Contra NES collection for the PC for 10 bucks. As to the Megaman Collection? Never liked the series all that much. Ill pass thanks.
  6. Ive got the first set of the new capsule toys. Ironically, they are almost PERFECTLY to scale with Mechwarrior Dark Age, should one prefer the original Griffon, Goliath, Shadow Hawk, or Wolverine when they go into clicky conflict. (Or use the minis for regular Battletech like I do.) Ive also got a a few of the late 90s Dougram model rereleases. Only put together the Soltic (Griffon), which is kinda nifty. I need to do the Shadow Hawk (Dougram Jakt Type) one of these days.. then they can go to war against my other toys that were things in Battletech, and it WILL ROCK YOUR MOM.
  7. The Japanese like doing these trading figure things. Whats cool is when most of them that do get an an American release are released, its on blister cards so you know what you get. Because Hasbro loves us more than Takara does. (See Heroes of Cybertron and the Kay Bee toy exclusive Micromaster set. Both were blind buy trading sets in Japan. Cuz they suck like that. As does Medicom with Kubricks. Mezco lets me see what Alien toys I get that are cute.. Medicom does not...)
  8. One thing I mentioned on another site, is why Japanese videogame cosplay is even allowed at anime cons. Or have anime cons become "We love everything Japanese so please hate us more normal well adjusted people" kinda deals? I mean, if Final Fantasy is allowed, what about Warhammer 40K or Fallout?
  9. As far as I know, a proper and true translation of the old Data East Robocop game never happened. Just visit MAME like everyone else does. And Robocop vs Terminator already happened in the comic books and in a SNES game. But yeah. The original had some cool people in it. I mean, Buckaroo Banzai vs Eric Forman's dad (Dumbass!), and the cranky and now dead doctor from ER who had a helicopter crash on him? And Miguel Ferrer who now kicks ass once he started going bald? Robocop: Full of cool actors who are bald(ing). And Buckaroo Banzai too!
  10. I like the SX 64 turned into a PC myself. The guy even made it so the DVD drive is hidden by the old 5 1/4 floppy slot! And the built in monitor even works, though its mostly useless due to its resolution capabilities. Looks amusing for playing C64 emulated though.
  11. That Duenan costume is actually pretty impressive from the looks of it. The lady clearly spent more than an hour or two making it. (Or a lot of cash buying it. One or the other.) Cosplay wouldn't be quite so embarassing if more people put out that kind of effort on it. Its clearly not to show off skin or just be cosplaying like Gundam Box. Its there to dress up as a fave character. That Blue Robot kicks ass too.
  12. Well, they could take out the voices and possibly the original music if need be. But the liscensing bit would be the toughest. It would require cooperation from AT LEAST Bandai and ADV since they seem to have the rights to most of Gundam and Go Nagai's stuff. The closest we are probably gonna get is the Winkysoft developed Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars for the GBA, which pretty much IS SRW but in the ZoE universe. Heck of a good game too. Sadly, even fan translations seem too hard to do as most translation teams just keep redoing Final Fantasy games THAT ALREADY HAVE AN ENGLISH VERSION YOU BLOODY ASSHATS!!! *Pant, gasp, fume in righteous dork rage*
  13. Congrats. Enjoy your lack of sleep and the inevitable destruction of anything within arm's reach!
  14. Aka: "If its vintage we are getting all we can and what we don't keep is going up on ebay. T BONES AND PORTERHOUSE STEAKS FOR BREAKFAST BABY!!" I could respect and understand them doing this.
  15. Well, if the dolls are 1/6th scale, you could always take the outfits and put them on a better figure (Cy Girls, Dragon, BBI, ect.) and make a decent modern version of them.. Not like these figs go for much on ebay. If someone does it and it works, let me know so I can grab the uniformed Dana and custom up a Cy Girl or something. We could even have a thread where the actual figures are burned in some creepy geek ritual..

    Yammies per user

    I have 2 Yammie VF1As, and 2 Super Banprestos.
  17. Ahh the PS1. Never has a more crappy system done so well and been almost as poorly manufactured as the Atari 5200. Well, the PS2 is trying of course. Sony: Selling shoddily designed systems and still making money!
  18. I wouldn't mind a Red or Green Legioss myself. Would love a Ride Armor, but I simply can't afford 70 bucks.
  19. What about David Fincher (unless I missed him in there)? I mean, Se7en? Fight Club? And a couple genre directors who are pretty great: Shusuke Kaneko (Gamera Trilogy, GMK) John Carpenter (Halloween, They Live, Escape From New York, The Thing) George Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Martin, Creepshow)
  20. 125 is a pretty high price, but I have never been a big fan of pricing something due to its rarety, and more on what the actual value of the item itself is.. Nice toy though. I have to say I liked the little MS In Pocket toys. With some panel inking the one I have is a great toy, especially given its age. As to those HCMs? Mm.. Vifam! As to what model/toy to get? If it wasn't for price, the blockier and more "80s" Kahen/Kadou Senshis would be the coolest Gundams. I adore the look of the Zeta they did, but it wasn't worth 50 bucks. Hella nicer than either of the MSiA versions. The ZZ looks great too. I dunno about V Gundam though. I like the fact the mecha are wierd, but I don't torrent so outside of seeing the opening, I really don't know enough about the series. And considering I am still chomping at the bit for Z and Turn A, I really am not in any hurry. Id rather have it over Seed, but nothing I have seen on Seed makes me want to see it...
  21. Id really like to get the Alphas, but at 80 bucks for a 6 inch toy... thats like that line of Bandai Gundams that sorta claimed diecast content. The Zeta was a nice toy, but it wasn't worth the 55 I paid for it MSRP. (Kahen/Kado Senshi?) Which kept me from buying the Hyaku Shiki. For 80 bucks I MIGHT get one of them, and most likely I will wait for Rook's version to come out. If that.
  22. Ive seen 2 different sets of Seed models. The cheapie megapaint ones, and larger HGUC US type boxes for 1/144s with a 15-20 dollar pricepoint. Im really not that interested in Seed, so I am probably gonna pass on em and the DVDs. I did grab the first manga volume though. I find I almost prefer manga to the actual shows these days. Cheaper and I can read em in bed. Though Azumanga Diaoh got me to buy its DVD. But its really great. (For Excel Saga im sticking with the manga only though.)
  23. Im loving it. The game has way more content than Lineage 2 or Star Wars Galaxies has, though the game is kinda limited in scope. But what it does, it does EXTREMELY well. I play on Freedom as Ozohc Bandit and Master Kowloon, and on Pinnacle as Ryu Point Five (Think Dragon Half), and Arrshikaga, the Zombie Pirate Ninja! Ozohc is my main right now. She is heavily inspired by Metroid in overall design and coloration, without going total Samus. Master Kowloon is basically G Gundam's Master Asia. Ryu Point Five is a pretty solid Mink from Dragon Half. Arrshikaga is my totally made up character and looks pretty cool. He just needs a pegleg for that little bit of extra pirateness! Im taking a break from it right now as to not burn out on it. But with stuff like Front Mission 4 coming out, this is easy to do. Most MMORPGs I play way too much when I get them and am sick of em by the end of the first month, which is kinda dumb in some ways. Luckily, City of Heroes really is a casual game. You dont need to powerlevel or catass the game. Play it when you need an MMORPG fix or you have an hour or 2 and do a couple of missions. Ok.. for me it ends up being more like 6 hours of play, but it sucks me into it..
