  1. Its still funny, but its approaching 4 or 5 years old now. Its even been shown on TV.
  2. Besides, Square ripped off Phantasy Star 2 when they made FF 7 anyhow. So even if they did its just fair play.
  3. Sad thing is, a TON of good games are all coming out around the same time, meaning a competant but standard RTS is gonna get lost in the shuffle. Its worth getting though. I quite enjoyed the Beta. I don't play regular Warhammer 40K anymore though. I generally switch stuff over to use in other games or mods of other tabletop games.
  4. OOhh.. you told me! And the Batman sets are 40 bucks street for 26-30 episodes worth of emmy winning character defining goodness. So at 80 bucks street I am getting a little more than DOUBLE the amount of TV show, and its of a show that is FAR more influental on pop culture than Zeta Gundam ever will be. I know you are an otaku Keith, but let's be realistic. Batman TAS is FAR more important than Zeta Gundam is, especially to the majority of the world besides a small percentage of anime fans. And they aren't trying to rape my wallet. Hell, if they broke it up into 50 dollar mini boxed sets I would be on board, and excited. Its still expensive, but its anime expensive. Fair enough. I would set aside some cash for it and buy it in chunks like I did G Gundam. Instead they are pricing it out of my range. I don't DO expensive. I buy VERY little over 60 dollars on one item. And that tends to be computer hardware. The only expensive DVD sets I own are the Tenchi OAV series and Alien Quadrilogy, both I had bought for me as presents, and have actual meaning to me. Instead, it seems I will shrug it off till its released in a manner normal people with bills and such can afford.
  5. Too bad I aint dropping 200 bucks on a DVD box set that is retailing for effectively FIVE TIMES the amount the godly awesome Batman TAS sets are going for. (Taking into account episodes per set here.) I guess Paramount isnt the only company that likes ripping off their fans.
  6. They are just Superdeformed type toys for kids. What's so bad about that? If SD is soooo horrible to many of you, howabout you send me all your Joke Machine Valks? I will take good care of them since y'all too cool for them!
  7. Its nothing new though. Hell, they did it to that excellent Kevin Smith Daredevil run too. I remember raving about the TPB to a hardcore comics friend of mine and how much I liked it. Then he told me like 2 months later Mysterio was back from the dead, making the series and its powerful ending basically MOOT. I was not a happy camper.
  8. I take it you haven't heard of the Generations at War mod. Brings 3 levels of Trek to SFC 3. Its not perfect, but it works pretty well. Level 1 is classic TV Trek, 2 is Movie Trek, and 3 is Next Generation/DS9/ect. Pretty fun online too. I tend to play Dominion (Replaces Borg) so I can use ISC and Lyran ships. Too bad their racial weapons don't really exist in the mod though.
  9. They are gonna bring Psylocke back? NO. One of the WORST things about comic books is this refusal to actually leave any character dead if they think they can make a buck off of them. If there was justice in this world, I would become editor in chief of either Marvel or DC. The first time someone tried to turn in a story where a previously dead character came back to life, they would be FIRED, and only then would I send out information/press releases explaining how our company will stop ruining our stories with lame back from the dead bullcrap that make previous stories lose any and all reason for being. I would also make sure employees, fans, and the press understood that comic books are supposed to be stories, and not unchanging fanboy wankfests full of ICONS. Because in stories, characters can change and die. Who tend to stay dead. Anyone who would have trouble with this concept is welcome to take a long walk off a short pier. Which fits in with that X Men comic preview. They couldn't leave Magneto or Jean dead for even a year could they? IDIOTS.
  10. I saw it, enjoyed it. Its not perfect but I had a good time. Its no Alien or Aliens, but its kind of hard to match near perfection anyhow.
  11. Yeah. While the TAS and Teen Titans has given Robin the new outfit, they gave Tim a totally new Robin suit with red pants. It could all technically fit though. In current DC comics, the suriviving (or brought back to life because death in comics is merely an inconvience..) Teen Titans sans Nightwing have become the teachers of the next generation. Meaning the adult versions of Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy are in charge (kinda) of Kid Flash (2), Wonder Girl (2 or 3), Robin (3), and Superboy. (Who also gets to take care of Krypto.) Raven has somehow been brought back from the dead, as has Slade (Deathstroke)'s son Jericho who was apparently a Teen Titan back in the comic's original glory days which I never read. The writer has stated on Newsarama he plans on bringing back Terra as well, who I have been told had a MUCH creepier relationship with Slade in the comics, and actually went bonkers before dying. The whole tale is in TPB format, so I ought to pick it up... Ahem.. however Jericho has disappeared again, since he can posess people and Raven's cloak kind of absorbed him in some whack dimension kinda like Cloak can do. (The old Marvel comic character Cloak.) By and large though, the Teen Titans cartoon can fit into the Timmverse DC cartoons with little effort. At least from the few episodes I have been able to get. Not having Cartoon Network is rough yo.
  12. Section III: Never Allowed #1. No religious or political debates. If you want to talk politics go to the proper outside forum. Not everyone shares your beliefs. Nothing starts more arguments then these kinds of debates. They have value but they have no value here. Yeah, thats a REAL big political discussion.
  13. Technically, they wouldn't meet up like this. Teen Titans Robin is Dick Greyson, who in the Batman TAS cartoon was in college. Teen Titans the cartoon is either non continuity, or takes place BEFORE all the other shows. Oh, and in the DC comics, Starfire can definately hold her own against Wonder Woman, and has NO problem taking a swing at Superman if she thinks he deserves it.
  14. And it won't fit in my pockets and will most likely suck batteries the way the stars of Vivid.. well.. you know.. Ill go Nintendo DS thanks. Pocket sized, something different, GBA compatibility, probably less than half the price. It wins hands down.
  15. I might get it Thursday. Depends on how much my college class will cost. Though AvP has Lance Henriksen in it, and he is far more awesome than any grunting Humvee driving Republican. (Can you guess I aint Arnie's biggest fan?)
  16. Ive been watching this set slowly, savoring it like a fine wine. I knew it was good, but man.. its BETTER than I remember it being. 4 packed DVDs of Batman goodness for 30 bucks.. something like 28 episodes of badassness. Im on the 4th disk now. No problems playing on the X Box, and its REALLY good. Really really good. Better than almost every other animated tv show I have seen in the last 10 years good. The bad? Its put me on a bit of a Batman kick and I am buying comics and toys and stuff to feed a Bat addiction.
  17. Wow.. a Gundam that doesn't look like almost every other Gundam. Nifty.
  18. Those models look cool, but I am a huge fan of the whole Dougram design style. Enough to have a number of models and toys from the series.
  19. If this was 6 months to a year ago I would be excited. Now I simply don't have this kind of money or desire to spend this kind of money on a toy. Ill wait and hopefully Hasbro will release it in the US a bit cheaper and as seperate toys I can pick up as I have the cash. If not? Oh well.
  20. Athlon 64 3200 1 Gig Ram Radeon 9600 256 mb Im probably ready for Doom 3, but why would I waste 50 dollars on a limited FPS with awful multiplayer, and "scary" solo level design by a company who hasn't made a great solo FPS since the DOS era. (Doom 2) If we want to be generous, Quake 3 was fair solo...
  21. Alternators sold out when they first showed up, but with no new product for like 4 months PLUS, its no surprise the same 2 toys arent selling anymore. Everyone who wanted them has them!
  22. Quite cool. Zobovor & co always seemed to be a stand up group of fans IMHO. Glad to see their little mini convention is still going strong.
  23. Paint jobs like those are actually why I visit this place. Nice work!
  24. Actually Sigourney Weaver is HEAVILY anti gun. I think that has affected having any Ripley toys. Im probably gonna get Robocop and Hicks, but will pass on the TCM remake figs. Why we need a 12" Leatherface as the "big" figure instead of an ED 209 that would SOOO sell is beyond me..
  25. I thought it was decent, though a little too hard at the end. The cheat to keep Fast Packs on the Earth missions helped a lot though. Probably the best transforming robot game out there is that Transformers game that just got released. Its pretty damned awesome, even if Megatron is a cheating bastid...
