  1. I'd say skip it even if you haven't. Nothing of any consequence happens, and it ends exactly as it began. Plus, you wouldn't have to suffer through a story so stale (and a setting so dull) even Star Trek did it better.
  2. I was kinda hoping Yellow would be significantly taller...
  3. Aoshima's VFG model kits are 40% off at Amazon.jp: VF-31J (MC-01) VF-31J (MC-02) VF-31D (MC-05)
  4. Disney is desperately trying to remind us that Star Wars was once relevant. "Come back! We're not finished! Sure, all your beloved heroes are dead except Lando and the droids, but... Billy Dee Williams is back! And it's still Anthony Daniels in the suit...!"
  5. Oh, it's diecast. That explains the thick paint, the weight, and the associated shipping cost... It's also a terrible idea for a transformable toy, of course. I'm definitely looking forward to the review, @jenius.
  6. @sh9000 posts random stuff from the Internet on a regular basis, without any context, and somebody invariably always asks if it's his work...
  7. Oh, you mean 20,000 Leagues Out in Space. It's a classic we've recently discussed in this very thread. Guys, does Disney+ happen to have the Herbie, The Love Bug TV series with Dean Jones? It's never been released on home video.
  8. I had to look this up on Amazon.jp, now that it's an actual product: I sure hope the final production version turns out better than the painted prototype, 'cause... yuck. That's damn sloppy paintwork. And Shogo's proportions look outrageous. His neck is as thick as his head... and his biceps! Good grief! Not that the Garland proportions look any better, mind you... According to Amazon, its MSRP is $400. I mean, I love me some Megazone 23, but... damn.
  9. I know, right? I'm still the only guy posting any...
  10. Amazon.jp quickly sold out of pre-order stock, but there are other third-party Marketplace sellers taking orders at similar prices... ...although whether they'll ship Stateside (and what shipping will cost) depends on the seller, of course.
  11. A picture is worth a thousand-character text string.
  12. Well, I certainly wasn't expecting to be the first -- I mean, members posting from Tokyo have had the VF-1S for four days already, and Amazon only just got around to delivering mine -- but here you are: Puts the ol' Yammie to shame, of course... ...but I do think the tempo is a little overdone. I especially hate the fruity font Tenjin-san chose for the pilot designations. At a glance, it always reads as Lieutenant Tokyo's plane. The cockpit screen could've used a little color, I think... but it's better than nothing, right? I love all the ways you can style the hair. Again, puts my old Yamato to shame, in more ways than I care to mention.
  13. It's true! Sentinel's barely opened pre-orders, and they've already delayed from July to August!
  14. Oh, that's just Wotafa's habit. He snorts a line of coke before opening every new toy.
  15. The subject of your review is usually the figure in the center, so I was a little confused about which figure you were talking about here...
  16. I'd welcome an Into the Spiderverse-style CGI adaptation of The Maxx, but live-action? Hell no.
  17. Hell yes. So much squandered potential from Star Trek: Discovery's second season.
  18. Not at all. I'm happy to contribute to Scorched Earth Toys however I can.
  19. Mine are pretty beat-up, but I can photograph them properly if they'd be of any use...
  20. Stig's original Tread didn't survive re-entry. The Tread that featured most prominently in the series was from the 7th Mars Division, salvaged from Point K (in ep.10).
  21. I'm a huge fan of Tarantino's, and a lifelong, die-hard Star Trek fan, but "Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek" may be the stupidest idea I've ever heard of.
  22. Still a better sequel than The Last Jedi. Beyond managed to course-correct... slightly.
  23. Arcadia's original Garland suffered significant delays -- a full eleven months from pre-order to release, actually -- but it turned out to be one of the finest toys I've ever handled. Delays for the proto-Garland probably indicate the same exacting level of quality control. Still, for what is basically a repaint with some minor retooling, I'm surprised it's taking so long...
