  1. I got my Alpha (#1923) yesterday (thanks Kevin!). So far I'm kind of disappointed for what I got at $79 - though I am going to finish collecting them all. The only major problem with my Alpha is a super-loose right landing gear which won't stay up. All the joints are pretty tight as well, and the legs are both even. Since no one posted any pics of the Alpha with stickers I'll go first.
  2. There might be a recall on the soundtrack and DTS disc. Little to no sound in the left rear speaker on the Japanese 5.1 DTS and the soundtrack disc has tracks that run together.
  3. I bought it about a month ago and it still had the bad 4th disc included. But I just went to Advision's website and they shipped me the fixed disc in about 3 days. I recommend checking The Right Stuff's website periodically (Weekly Specials) - they usually have this title on sale sometimes.
  4. Old Shmups Site New Shmups Site These two sites should be of some help.
  5. 1.It's the Playstation version with the two exclusive Saturn bosses - iirc the Saturn version had different music (better) on some stages, and had a wave effect on the water on first stage. None of these features are on the collection besides the two Saturn bosses. 2.No super jump trick in MM3
  6. I just got the GC version today and the backward buttons (B button to jump and A to shoot - Capcom, what were you thinking!) do take a while to get used to, but if you played Metroid Prime you shouldn't have no problem adjusting. A very nice and complete compilation from Capcom - a definited must buy! Btw, if you have a Hori digital controller, this game was made for it.
  7. English, Japanese, and French 5.1 soundtracks
  8. That DOA Lei Fang one is spot on. Any full body shot of her in that outfit?
  9. Man, I wish someone would release Galaxy Rangers on dvd. I loved that cartoon.
  10. I'm glad Nintendo's finally listening to their fans. I'm looking forward to owning both products.
  11. I like it better on the piano: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/mario.php
  12. I've notice some serious interlace problems on the tv screen when viewing my R2 DYRL dvd on my R2 PS2 (SCPH-50000 model) so beware because the PS2 makes for a sh**ty dvd player. On my region free Toshiba SD 4900 dvd player it displays no interlacing problems whatsoever.
  13. Just came back from picking it up but I have to go to work in 5 minutes.
  14. Nausicaa is being released on dvd (in japan) next month with english subtitles to boot. If you have a region 2 or region all dvd player you can pre-order a copy at www. cdjapan.co.jp. Hope that helps.
  15. I'm sure that BBTS had a pre-order price of $54.99 for the 1/48 FPs, and now they've raised it up to $64.99. That's a bit outrageous as NCS has the better deal on 1/48 FPs (only $49.00US!) and the two new VE-1/VT-1 (at $78.00US! each). NCS may not have the 1/48 FPs in stock now, but they're coming. S/H from NCS isn't too bad either, I paid about $11.00US S/H for UPS ground and I got them within 5 days (ordered Thursday, got it the following Monday). Overall I saved around $36.00US with NCS over BBTS and I got mines before BBTS got their stock in. Yeah, I also pre-ordered my 1/48 FP and VT-1/VE-1 from NCS and got them the next day. They also padded the inside of the box well too. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and will use them again for other Macross toys.
  16. Very nice pics!!! Can't wait to get my VE-1, VT-1 and 1/48 fast packs tomorrow. Oh, the wait...
  17. A couple of new pics from the TGS. http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/2...030902/sega.htm
  18. I'm sorry but the Gamecube controller does just fine with Soul Calibur 2 (I have all three versions). I've already finished finding everything in the Cube version of the game (16hours... whew) and didn't have any trouble with any moves with the Cube controller. The S controller d-pad imho, is not well made for fighters, especially ones that require diagonal motions (do a fireball motion in Capcom Vs. SNK 2 with it and you'll know what I mean). Also the buttons on the S controller are a little stiff so you have to push down on them with a little force. If I had my choice I would of put the old XBox "Chunky" controller d-pad on the S controller, because it's looser and it gives you a little better diagonal motion. Right now the only good controller for SC2 is the dual shock 2.
  19. Yes indeed!!! That pad was the perfect pad for all types of games (overhead/vertical 2D shooters and fighters especially). Think I'll hook up the ol' Sega Saturn for a game of Outrun and Capcom Generation Vol. 5 (Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2 Champion Edt. and Turbo) I hope by that you guys mean the Japanese Saturn pad because the US one sucked. Yeah, I meant the japanese pad... I didn't like the ones packaged with the first Sega Saturns (mainly because of the L & R buttons and bulky design), but Sega made up for it by giving us the japanese ones later on.

  21. I bought all 3 versions but currently playing the XBox version more. Though I hate using the XBox S controller for fighters because of the stiff d-pad and buttons, the moves just don't come out as well. I have to push down super-hard on the attack buttons to get some of the moves/blocks to work. Also the d-pad is just terrible for diagonal movement ... Does anyone know of a good quality arcade style stick for the XBox? I too picked up FZero GX that same day and it's pretty tight! The difficulty can get a bit overwhelming in the later courses but all the FZero titles had this increase in difficutly so I'm not complaining. Well, it was a good week for gaming
  22. What happened? Nevermind, I saw the topic on what happened...
