  1. Yeah, I totally forgot I had pre-ordered it on Amazon. The frame rate and weird glitches really mess up the flow of the game. Hopefully they can iron out the glitches with firmware updates. But until then, I'll just continue to play it on the PS4 Pro. After seeing this ported to the Switch, I immediately cancelled my pre-order for Raiden V because I know it won't run at 60fps.
  2. Looking foward to this one next month on PS4 and Switch since it has that Contra Hard Corps look to it.
  3. I totally agree with you. Other than the stupid way the game centers your character when you walk to the left, it's a great game. I liked the sequel. I thought the music was way better, and that crazy ass ending in the Japanese version with the topless woman (she has a red shirt in the US version) attacking you while you're sitting on the throne laughing is such a great WTF moment. My favorite music track in Legendary Axe 2: Also, just wondering if you got your copy of Bloodstained? I just got mine in the mail today. Can't wait till the weekend to play it.
  4. Yeah, the PC Engine/Turbografx-16 is great little system. I played the crap out of The Legendary Axe, World Class Baseball, and R-Type back in the day. Has Konami announced any dates for pre-orders/release?
  5. I wish I could partake in the PO festivities this morning, but I will be at work unfortunately. I'm praying everyone here gets one. Good luck!
  6. Got my Amazon Japan VE-1 order yesterday and can say it arrived in great shape. The only fly in the ointment was the bag with optional parts was open and rattling around inside. After a thorough inspection, nothing was broken. I'm praying Max and Yellow show up in this condition when I receive them.
  7. For those who enjoy VGM, looks like Skies of Arcadia is getting another soundtrack release this time from Wayo Records. It's up for order now. CD https://www.wayorecords.net/wayo/skies-of-arcadia-cd/?lang=en Vinyl https://www.wayorecords.net/wayo/skies-of-arcadia-vinyl/?lang=en
  8. Speaking of NCSX, I purchased this from them this past Friday. It feels real nice to play the original Sega Rally at 60fps, but too bad it doesn't have the remixed soundtrack and extra car the Sega Saturn version has.
  9. I really wish they would have made this a digital release on the PC/PS4/Switch/Xbox One. I would've bought it on all four platforms for the simple fact that Ghouls 'n Ghosts is one of my all time favorite video games. Also it's one the few games I can still 1CC without any problems. Come on Capcom. Don't let Ghouls 'n Ghosts legacy die like this.
  10. I totally missed it. Like JetJockey, I was hoping NCSX was going to have it for pre-order. I fired off an email to them asking if they were going to sell it, but as usual they never respond to me. Oh well...
  11. That new cover looks pretty good. I'll pick up a copy even though I own the original.
  12. Looks like a flash game. Also I'm not feeling the juggling mechanic. I'm gonna take a wait and see with SOR4 since I'm a big Genesis/Mega Drive fan.
  13. I'm just hoping they get the arms to stay put with the legs in fighter mode
  14. got one. thank you!
  15. Every place I tried error out. This was just savage.
  16. I wasn't too hard on the wallet since all the items were pre-ordered months in advance. Btw, did you ever beat Nekketsu Oyako on the Saturn? I've been meaning to play it but most of my time has been spent playing Dragon Quest V on the SFC.
  17. I'm on vacation next week and have a ton of points to use at CD Japan. I'm ready!
  18. The bonus disc is pretty good from what little time I've spent listening to it. I have to comment though that the remastering work by Sweep Records of the original PS version is great. I've always found the bass in the first soundtrack release kinda muddy/hot, and this release get it just right. Definitely worth picking up if you own the original soundtrack.
  19. Some recent retro related pickups from the past couple of weeks: Some soundtracks Analogue Mega Sg (FPGA Sega Mega Drive/Genesis)
  20. The d-pad feels exactly like the old Genesis 6 button pad. I've been playing a lot Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on the Switch with it and the special moves come out buttery smooth. Definitely my favorite 8bitdo controller at the moment.
  21. A really fun brawler to play with someone. I still have of both my PS1 & Saturn copies which I ordered from NCS ages ago. While I do prefer the speed and control of the Saturn version, I enjoy the PCM music of the PS1 version way more than redbook music used in the Saturn version.
  22. Yeah, the artwork is amazing! I think the Mega Drive cover looks just as cool as the Super Grafx cover art. Super Ghouls n Ghosts is a good game and all, but does not hold a candle to original Ghouls n Ghosts. Super Ghouls n Ghosts plays so damn slow. The second part of level two really drags the game to a halt, in my opinion. Also, taking away the ability to shoot up or down was a step backwards. I still one credit clear through it every once and a while, but I always find myself playing original Ghouls n Ghosts (Sega Saturn version) a lot more just because the faster game play and snappier controls. I remember reading in an old issue of EGM that Strider was to come out for the Super Grafx, but the system sales were poor so they ended up porting it to the CD system instead.
  23. Bought a loose Super Grafx system (controller, ac adapter, and av cables not pictured) and some games. Looks really good going through the OSSC!
