I'm in the middle of building a 1/48 right now, actually it's been over year since I started it. I think the cockpit assembly fit better on the 1/48 than it does on the 1/72. Just my opinion though.

Something tells me that it won't be a problem for you to fix. If it doesn't come out perfect you can always disguise it as battle damage. Who likes shiny-clean-right off the factory floor Valkyries anyway?!?!

Wow, this old IMAI kit brings back some memories. Kinda a fitting since it's Mothers's Day and it was my mom that would yell at me because I was spending too much time playing with this kit instead of doing my homework. How are you going to attach the legs with the one cockpit? I'm looking forward to seeing your solution. Looking pretty good so far, good luck with the rest of the build... or should I say "re-engineering".

Nippon Yassan is HORRIBLE!!!!! Like everyone else here, I pre ordered the 1S and elected to "pay later" when it was still an available option... they charged my card immediately. I started a ticket on it explaining the situation and requested a refund. The refused to credit me or to honor the pay later option. I had to go to my credit card company and they reversed the charges for me and told me they will deal with N-Y. I got a confirmation a few weeks ago that my order was cancelled.

I chose that option but my CC was charged immediately and when I complained they wouldn't refund me because it was in their terms and conditions, which isn't clearly stated for pre order items. They're horrible I won't deal with them again.

un_marine, that's looking nice. What did you use to make the helmet, shoulder pads, etc.?

Does anyone out there have a 1/60 Queadluun they can put next to 1/72 destroids or battroids, snap and post a pic.
