  1. PS2. After logging hundreds of hours on the Tekken series, it's the only controller that feels right for fighters. Though if I were to pick solely on graphics and playability, it would be the GC version.
  2. Thanks for all the great pics! Especially those F-16 shots. While the 16 isn't my favorite operational fighter (that's reserved for the 14) it's hard to find good shots of the craft. Had I known about the show, I probably would have gone; it's less than an hour trip from my home and I haven't been to one in years. In fact, the last time I saw a fighter in person was in St. Louis while aboard a 727 headed for Florida; the runway was held as an F-18 took flight. Any idea when the next show is?
  3. [EDIT] Disregard if this doesn't belong here. As an aside, the Fix 0016 Crossbones appear to be out in Hong Kong. Ebay
  4. For those curious few, I went ahead and spliced together the "fighter?" mode from Graham's pics.
  5. I'm going with option 2. The GBP hasn't been mentioned in any scale, let alone 1/48. An October release of the armor would be improbable.
  6. Now the question becomes: Red or Blue? RED or BLUE??! Right now I'm leaning towards red. About 20 minutes ago I wanted blue and before that it was red... tough choice.
  7. I'd like to, but I'm terrible with models. I've been searching for some die-cast 1/48 jets with retractable landing gear, but they don't seem to exist. I've purchased some various die-cast 1/72's that I plan to display with the MacPlus and Mac0 valks, but unfortunately the MacZero valkyries don't even exist yet.
  8. You can get them for far cheaper than $100, but I digress.
  9. Keep in mind that his parents are suing the boys who ripped the video for $2 million. Psychological damage or something. [EDIT] Here's a link to the article.
  10. Can't answer the first, but I've read that the FAST packs were shown on the 1J simply to promote interest in both the valkyrie and the super upgrades. The 1J will come sans packs.
  11. No panel lines? Seam still present? I may have to pass on this one..
  12. What initially drew me into Macross was my love for fighters. Couple that with giant transformable robots and I'm set. As a result, most of my valkyries end up displayed in fighter mode and I couldn't be happier that Yamato chose the jet as the primary sculpt. That said; the low vis was my first 1/48 and I got it a few days ago. I've transformed it once to Gerwalk, once to Battroid, and it's been in Fighter since. I can't imagine a more perfect representation of the valkyrie and while the price is staggering (The credit card bill is coming next month...) it was well worth it. Opening the package certainly made my day.
  13. Wouldn't you be if your product was the MPC and your competitor had the Yamato 1/48? They claim they have sole distribution rights to the Macross properties in North America.
  14. Hasbro will release every alternator at a $20 price point sans diecast. They'll be 100% plastic but cheaper. Personally, as much as I love diecast I'll probably end up solely with Hasbro versions.
  15. A 1/48 line composed of every valkyrie conceived would be better. Seriously Yamato, where's my 1/48 vf-22 and stampede?
  16. Yeah, you're right. Hmm, it's still mistransformed though. Comparing pictures from OTFCC and ebay, it appears that the seats fold under the windshield and the head slides forward. Also, the prototype's shoulders are significantly lower than the official pictures. It's certainly not the best robot-mode I've seen, but at least there's plenty of articulation and a replica alt mode.
  17. That sample has been grossly mistransformed. The rear of the car is supposed to be his chest, not his back.
  18. Graham took a picture of the sticker sheets, and while I don't have the Max to compare, it seems like there's plenty of numbers to choose from here. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/1...is-stickers.jpg
  19. It definitely has it's flaws, but it's the only toy representation of the 21 on the market. So if you love MacPlus as much as I, it's worth it. If you haven't already, you should read Graham's review. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/y...21fp_sample.htm
  20. And the 1/48 Max wasn't? It's not like fans didn't ask for this valkyrie. It's the quintessential DYRL? valkyrie and I'm sure they'll sell their entire stock on this one.
  21. I'm waiting for the DC edition. Can't really afford two copies of the same movie when I've got textbooks and valks to buy.
  22. Considering it's a completely different plastic color (not just paint apps) I wouldn't be surprised if Yamato produced one run and never looked back. Whereas with the DYRL valkyries, there's always the chance more runs will be done if demand is there. Maybe that's what makes it limited. Either way, it's the best valkyrie I've ever owned.
  23. Hefty price? It's only around $200+ for the Valk plus Strike option.
  24. I'll be buying a set when the Hikaru 1S is released. This is still my favorite picture of the packs. Credit to the photographer, and figures.com.
