    Wait so on December 25th I can watch this on HBOMax? Without another charge on top like Disney+ did with Mulan? That's pretty awesome! I have HBOMax, so I'll definitely check this out on Christmas day! The real bummer is that the HBOMax app is stuck in the dark ages, no 4K HDR in 2020? That's frakking absurd, they need to get that updated ASAP.

    I think both new consoles using SSD will lead to both bigger and cheaper SSD in the future, it may take another year or so, but being the new standard for consoles now as well should push competition. They definitely seem to have dialed back on some of the RPG stuff, the new assassination options are interesting, you can run off the numbers and not always get the kill or you can just set it to always kill. Also, there's far, far less gear, it's now more about upgrading existing stuff and occasionally getting a new piece of a set in a chest, then getting piles of new stuff to sort and optimize. Gears Tactics isn't a cover based third person shooter like the rest of the series, it's a turn based strategy game like Xcom. Gears 5 is still the current mainline Gears game, I restarted the campaign with the Series X enhancements and it's amazing, 120fps multiplayer isn't too shabby either. Gears Tactics is a ton of fun if you like turn based strategy games, I've played a lot of Xcom and the like so I'm really enjoying it, even though it's more zoomed out it's still a really polished Gears game.

    Yup, got one on launch day, I've got 20 hours into AC Valhalla, it's really smooth in 4K 60fps. I don't like COD so I passed on that, I got Gears Tactics, that game also looks fantastic in 4K 60fps. I'm going to grab Yakuza LAD eventually, it's just too similar to Gears Tactics to play right now as well. I installed Doom Eternal and GTAV on the internal SSD and, no surprise, load times are far faster. Anything with a capped 30fps stays floored at 30fps, no dips. Anything installed on the SSD flies, Series X enhanced or not. The SSD on these new consoles is a game changer, from PC gaming's perspective it's about time, for console players it's a night and day difference.

    Yup, just on the shelf. It was crazy, I had to stop and grab a few things and decided to go check the electronics section, the video game stuff is always in sections based on platform and there they were among Xbox One and One S, two Series X and one Series S. Totally unexpected, once again, just sitting there. I'd been reading the horror stories all day about online orders, and scalpers, and people hunting store to store to try and get one, so I asked the guy stocking behind me if they were for sale and yes indeed, I wrung up one Series X. From what I read there's a number of factors at play, first off was that Walmart apparently wasn't supposed to sell these in store, apparently the in store stock was for online orders only. Problem with that was that Walmart.com was a mess all day, orders didn't go through, orders were cancelled, so apparently a number of Walmarts all over the country saw they had stock that wasn't getting picked up and said screw it, and just started selling them. I also read that a few Walmart employees were told in store stock was for Black Friday only, which I doubt. Who knows really, it seems it was a mess overall, most Walmart employees had no idea the Series X and S even came out, and every store, early in the morning, had lines of people trying to grab one. Only thing I've been thinking about is if some poor sap put in an online order and something got messed up, allowing me to grab someone else's already paid for Series X. Honestly though, it was such a mess I doubt anyone got screwed that way, it seems most people getting screwed just had their orders cancelled a few minutes after ordering, Walmart's servers were a mess yesterday.

    Nice, I'll be playing Spiderman MM on my PS4 Pro but I'd kill for Demons Souls. I played over 350 hours on PS3 back in college, I loved that game. Good luck on the disc version, I know there's more people out there looking for Sony's new console over either Microsoft one, hopefully you can nab a pre-order on launch night.

    Found one at Walmart, not a planned purchase, I was going to definitely grab one eventually, but it was there so I nabbed it.

    Didn't plan on buying this today, I didn't pre-order, but there it was at Walmart. Between the PS5 and this X Series I was always getting the Xbox first, then a PS5 when there was enough interesting exclusives to justify the purchase, I did the same with the PS4 Pro. It's certainly a beefy little piece of hardware for $500, I already have a bad boy 72" 4K TV with hdmi 2.1 and native 4K 120hz, so I'm all good to go!

    Ghost of Tsushima Legends raid came out, very well made, very tough too. Three chapters, the second in particular took about two hours, definitely requires communication, teamwork and a very solid group of four. This Legends update has been fantastic, it's definitely cemented my opinion that Ghost is absolutely game of the year material.

    Finally got my hands on this beast! I missed the pre-order long ago due to some family nonsense I had to deal with at the time, then it came out and the price crept higher and higher. Managed to snag this and the final battle RX-78 for a good price, and with this I've collected all the 0079 mecha in the Robot Spirits ANIME line, including exclusives.

    I absolutely love multiplayer, coop specifically, I love me some PvE, but not PvP, so I'm all in on this update, it's magnificent. Good news is that you can totally do everything in Legends solo, you just que up and turn off matchmaking. It's tough at times, the two player Legends story is clearly designed for two ghosts, but it can be done. I did the whole campaign myself on bronze then silver difficulty, bronze was a breeze but silver got pretty hectic at times. I'd also say that the survival mode is far, far more forgiving with three random players helping out, the objective is always the same, you just fight and defend a spot, little need for coordination for the most part. The campaign with random players is another story, I tried a few times but just got idiots and children.

    Anyone else with Ghost of Tsushima try out the magnificent Legends update? I'm pretty blown away, it's absolutely brilliant for free DLC, I've spent hours, and hours, and hours getting my samurai to 110 ki level 33, it's a ton of fun. There's also New Game+ added to the main game, along with a slew of really nice, very much appreciated quality of life changes and additions. I'll fire up New Game+ eventually, for right now I've been having an absolute blast with the coop Legends modes though, the two player campaign missions in particular are a lot of fun. There's also a four player coop survival mode, which is what it sounds like, just surviving waves of enemies while holding checkpoints throughout the map, not as in depth or engaging as the two player story stuff, but still very fun. There's loot and gear, but it's not egregious, this isn't Marvel's Avengers or Destiny, all loot can be shared among the classes. Four classes to pick, ultimate abilities, unique gear and cosmetics for each class, this is a pretty substantial update for free. I see some people are disappointed this wasn't a single player expansion, but honestly, if this was a "real" expansion with actual new characters, cut scenes, moves and attacks, enemies, etc., it obviously would've cost money. So for free, I think the Legends update is amazing, I'll be playing for weeks to come now, more so considering there are larger "raids" on the way.

    Solid finale, definitely predictable though, once again, this series has veered completely away from the comic and I'm perfectly fine with it. At this point I enjoy the comic and show for different reasons, both good, I still like the comic and it's story far more, but the show is fun. Lots of revelations in these last two episodes, and once again as a comic reader, am glad to not know exactly where things are going. Overall it was a good season, not as good as the first, I have this odd feeling like not much happened this season, which is weird, it just didn't seem quite as eventful.

    Lucky, I really wanted that one. I would've traded him out into my Mezco One 12 Justice League, I like Ascending Knight Batman, but I like this suit design and these darker colors much more. I got in a package from HLJ, after hearing about disappointments with the first Figuarts Mando release I was worried, but he's great, a tad fiddly but he looks fantastic. The Child is a bummer, stellar faces but super fiddly, the cup accessory is a pain and nearly pointless. Toei Spider-Man is great, his faithful robot Leopardon as well! A week before this rerelease was announced I almost bought the original version, glad I waited, Spidey's henshin device is a cool addition.

    Yeah that yellow is way, way too bright, it was more mustard colored on the show, with weathering on top. I love the sculpt and detail, but I may to have to suck it up and do some paint work myself, if that's the color they go with that just won't work for me.

    Those faces definitely don't look as good as the promos, I'm still pretty glad I skipped this one, reviews seem pretty rough. I'm hoping the Mezco comes out good.

    I mostly meant from the perspective of a PS4 Pro owner, there isn't a compelling lineup of launch exclusives enticing me to grab a PS5, Demons Souls is all I'd miss out on at launch. There's plenty more on the horizon for both companies, Microsoft has as much announced for the future as Sony, but agreed, Sony's announced stuff is more interesting. As Mike already mentioned above, Microsoft clearly isn't trying to sell consoles, they are selling services, namely Gamepass and Gamepass Ultimate. At this point, Xbox is just another piece of hardware that can access those services, there hasn't been an "Xbox" exclusive in years now, Microsoft gave that up, they've been doing "Microsoft" exclusives for years now, they've embraced PC gaming and the PC gaming community. I'm really interested in seeing how the Xbox Series S does, it's basically just a cheap way to access Gamepass Ultimate, which has a ton of value, and is constantly adding more, the EA thing was another big win, a Series S is a cheap way to access a lot of content and games, that's what Microsoft is after, Sony still pushes console exclusives and makes money selling consoles, it's two entirely different races at this point. Yeah selling consoles really isn't their focus anymore, at this point they're just gateways to their games services. For those that don't have a gaming PC, Microsoft will now have two flavors of console to play games, one more traditional, the Series X, and the cheaper Series S which will be an all digital long-term game renting machine. The exclusives Microsoft puts out are much more accessible, they definitely want more software and game service sales. I've seen a lot of PC gamers repeat this, and it's clear this is what Microsoft was hoping for, and it clearly seems to be working. Gamepass is a great deal on PC, then better on console for a few bucks more, eventually, even though mostly redundant, why not grab a cheap Series S? Not the Series X, that's for folks like me that don't have a gaming PC, but it's something someone with a PC may one day consider, and it's very cheap and bargain friendly way to access a lot of gaming if you don't have another console or PC. It'll be interesting to see how Microsoft does this generation, trying to sell software and game services over the more traditional method, selling actual gaming consoles. Even though I get Sony's approach, it works and it's ages old, Microsoft definitely seems more bargain and user friendly, they also haven't announced first party stuff will be $70 this gen unlike Sony which announced their slight first party exclusive price hike. Zero doubt at all Sony will will PS5s like crazy, but how well will Microsoft do with their new approach? Sony exclusives sell well, but third party games always have and always will make up the majority of software sales on every platform. Sony doesn't survive and thrive on software sales, their first party stuff is undoubtedly popular and do move consoles, but Call of a Duty, Fortnite, GTA V, third party stuff always sells the most and stays at the top of the most played and best sales charts. I'll be getting a Series X, eventually, like the PS5, but to my original point, neither launch is very exciting.

    That's a bummer if true, but seeing as Dark Souls has been on PC, I'd wager they screwed up and jumped the gun, it'll come to PC too eventually, they just wanna sell PS5s this holiday and have at least one real PS5 exclusive for launch. That would be the only real interesting launch exclusive, and it's a remaster/remake of a PS3 game, it's still an incredibly dull launch for both consoles, nothing really worth a whole console purchase IMO.

    I see zero reason to get a PS5 at launch, Spiderman: Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West are both coming to PS4 too, I'll just play them on my PS4 Pro, Demon Souls is releasing on PC too. I'd just wait until next Christmas when there's an inevitable God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle, the game doesn't even have a release date yet. Launch consoles are almost never worth it, this generations launch seems to be the most lackluster in history, there's zero real exclusives for either new console.

    I didn't get one either, which is a bummer, I really wanted this set. The swappable symbols and heads with different ear lengths really clenched it for me, the supreme suit looks good in black.

    Got The Boys complete series in, just in time for season 2 on Amazon. At one point I had The Boys complete in individual issues, but over the years I lost over a dozen. Not a big deal, these six collected volumes are quite nice.

    I never played the original Hyrule Warriors but I'm in for this one on Switch! I haven't played a Dynasty Warriors game since, I think, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2? Been a good long while, this looks fun.

    Damn I read this earlier, MASSIVE bummer, I've loved this show for years now. Honestly though, I can't really say I'm that surprised, the show has had a sporadic, to say the least, run, for years now. It was fantastic while it lasted, this show kept viewers on their toes, characters were multi-dimensional and interesting, there were complicated little details and twists and turns throughout the series, it was amazing through and through. I did read it's cancelled, on CW, there's a chance we could at least get a TV movie or something else that finishes up the story, I wonder if Netflix can save the day and give us a proper finale?

    That isn't a plot hole, what happened was the truth, Homelander would be replaced, he's a product. Him threatening to go somewhere else was a bluff, and he was called on it immediately, he's not going anywhere. While other corporations that handle supe contracts exist, there's a reason we haven't heard much to anything about them, they aint crap, and Homelander knows it. It's like if Tom Brady, in his prime, quit the NFL to play in the AFL, he'd still be Tom Brady, but nobody would give a crap. Homelander knows damn well he'd be replaced in a week, there'd be a new leader of The Seven, and there would be a new Vought approved and marketed #1 supe in the world, even if it isn't true on a physical level in any way, Vought would sell it that way, it would become public opinion, and that would be that. Homelander could kill and take what he wants, but that's not his public image, he's still a good guy, the best guy, all of his murder and devious crap was on the down-low, hidden, and covered up, by Vought no-less. Not a single other corporation has that power and influence, and he knows it, once again, he aint going anywhere. Outside of Homelander going full dictator and taking over the world by force, and just openly becoming a monster and a bad guy, there's not a single thing he can really do. That back and forth he had with Stan was fantastic, it was pretty damn close to what we see in the comic, he is essentially the Joker to Homelander's Batman, there's nothing Homelander can do with all his strength and power, it means nothing to Mr. Edgar. Homelander did what Homelander does when Mr. Edgar tells him off, he shakes and gets red in the face, then storms off like a fragile little baby, much to the amazement of literally anyone watching, not a single other person on the planet can do that to Homelander. Loving the new season so far, Stormfront is great! I was wondering how they'd handle him, or her now, and if we'd see shades of the comic counterpart on the show, definitely appears so!
