    The harem bit does somewhat diminish the experience. I sometimes do not know if Nihei is doing it for a laugh. It's so unlike his other work. A Spoiler for the manga at your own peril in case a 3rd season gets made

    Not meant for me but I'll take it anyway. Thomas Romain is a french animator/art designer who currently works for Satelight (that's Shoji Kawamori's studio). One of the few gaijin working in the anime industry as far as I know.

    Yes, very much so. It's pretty much the same story, but with tiny changes here and there that give and alternate POV to events. Sadamoto also develops the characters relationships differently, and one might say with a bit more love for the characters he worked with for almost 20 years. And the manga has a rather interesting epilogue that raises some interesting questions. But like I said it's still the same story.

    No news yet on princing or release formats. In the past I've read that one of the problems with the LOGH license was that Artland wanted a pretty penny for it for anyone who came asking. So it could very well be that the price is a bit higher than normal for their releases. I wonder if the side stories are also included in the license and release plans? If you add the side stories and films, you're looking at almost 150 episodes worth of goodness.

    Oh they can easily continue. But you forget that season one ended with a big hint at the end that the show was indeed going to continue. I hope this second season sell well in Japan. BTw, I just got the BD's that Sentai released for season one. They don't improve much on the Netflix experience, but you get a lot of nice postcards and pictures of nicest sites on Sidonia drawn by Kihei himself. I'm really, really hoping that for the second season's BD's they include that single episode of Blame that they teased us with.

    Yeah, the first episode was pretty promising. Decent start to the summer season. Anyone know if Aquarion Logos has been licensed? I want to see what crazy, whacky ideas Kawamori is up to nowadays. The one I want to watch the most is Prison School. That manga is absolutely hilarious and ecchi as the devil.

    I read the news when I went to bed last night and decided never to drink again. I read it again today and find out that it's real and that it's happening. The friggin' holy grail of licenses has been picked up. I hope Sentai puts some soul and effort into it. No half-azzing on a release such like this. My wallet is ready

    Like JB0 said, it's all about HG having the international rights on the Macross name. Granted, if someone got creative about trying to stream it and called it something else for the international market, there could be a loophole there that could be exploited.

    Agree on Kekkai Sensen (battleblood Blockade) being the coolest show this season, with Fate being the biggest disappointment. Normally KyoAni shows are not my cup of tea, but boy do they make their shows look absolutely gorgeous. Hibiki Euphhonium has grown on me and the art/animation on it are movie level stuff. Gonna watch the finale later tonight. For story, Arslan probably was my favorite show so far and I'm happy we're getting a second cour.

    Not much unfortunately. If it's called 'Macross', HG will want a slice of the pie if it's released outside Japan. And it's not that large of a pie to make sense for a really big player to descend and remedy the situation. I suppose that when the new Macross comes out, execs from Crunchyroll and Funimation could make a couple of calls to see how much it would cost them to stream it and see if it adds up for them. My guess is it won't.

    They're taking their sweet time aren't they? There is more than enough manga material now to do a 2 cour second season of Attack on Titan. They better strike while the iron is hot, you never know when the next big thing is coming around.

    In the case of Eureka Seven it's a straight up homage to Macross.

    Don't be discouraged by the slow start. Everything happens for a reason in SG (there's no filler) and then it will all click into place. And it will be very rewarding.

    Jojo's Bizarre Adventures Stardust Crusaders just finished the day before yesterday. What a fun ride it has been with that series. I'm hoping that they adapt more of the Jojo manga series.

    I have to say they do have some of the funniest targets I've seen on Kickstarter. I wish Animeigo could go all out and do a Kickstarter for the LOGH license :-)

    As far as I can remember he was banned. Anyway back to anime we're watching, anyone else here watching Arslan? The anime has finally overtaken the manga and is getting pretty interesting. It's a very good watch despite the shoddy animation.
