    What worries me a bit with this anime boom (Amazon, Netflix plus Crunchyroll, Daisuki, Viewster, Hulu, Funimation etc) that inevitably there comes a bust on the other side. I don't think there's THAT much money to be made with anime. It's still a pretty niche product, with only the very big hits offering the kind of value the networks expect (crossover value).

    So Kabaneri is coming out very soon and the trailer looks pretty exciting. What's pretty interesting is that it has been licensed worldwide by none other than Amazon who is going to stream it through their Prime service at the same time as Japan. It seems Amazon is serious about it too, since they payed a huge license fee for Kabaneri and made a deal too for all the Noitamina shows with Fuji TV. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2016-03-18/.99932 Crunchyroll and Funimation are going to have a hard time getting the stuff they want.

    The weirdness never stops in Hollywood. Burt Reynolds will probably have a cameo and they will probably get Menudo to reform to sing the title song too.

    I've always wanted to get that Starship Troopers anime, but I've never been able to get my hands on a copy. Hard to find!

    I wonder what her origin is. Zentran blood probably? Now I have visions of seeing her macronized I get the feeling Makina will sell more hug pillows than anyone outside of Mikumo.

    Are you being serious Keith? You're joking, right? It's an extremely solid entry in the Gundam series and the spacing out of mobile suit combat adds to flavor. A clear case of "less is more". No 2 combats have been the same so far.

    Kabaneri is the series I'm looking most forward too next season (well after Macross of course ). The art and animation look absolutely top notch. No surprises with Mikimoto working on it.

    Valkyrie1981, I take it the number is the year of your birth? The target audience of Delta is not 35 year old western anime fans. And I say that respectfully (I'm older than you are ). Tochiro has already explained above who this is targeting. The franchise is evolving together with the market and the audience. And that's a good thing. Because even if you dislike Delta, (which I think you will no matter what direction they go with the story), a succesful Macross series means more releases and attention of/to Macross goodies from past series. Just like it happened with Frontier. And that's something that everyone who's a regular here can enjoy. If you want nitty-gritty mecha I can recommend you go with Gundam. With both Gundam Origin and Thunderbolt they are covering that segment pretty well.
