    The fin fragility is not the issue with the YF-21, it uses pinpoint barrier tech to deflect. It would seem as long as you could get the barrier to surround whatever object, it would be well protected. I would think if you could wrap a piece of paper with pinpoint barrier, it would be pretty damn strong lol.

    Weird, I am not getting notifications from NY when they are ready for payment. I had the same problem with the sending shipping notifications when I got my Tornado sets.

    I put in a pre-order with lunar for this. I like the design and I have other random SD style toys and the like that this will go with on another shelf away from my mainline Yamarcadia's and DX toys. I get it really, when it comes to bootlegs and knock off's but I feel like this is an original design and they did not include any logos that would indicate that this is a licensed product. One thing that is weird to me though is the DYRL style VF-1A Hikaru with a VF-1J head and the S style head lasers lol. I am surprised they did not name it something like "Makuros SDG-1" instead of SDF-1.

    Well this sucks, Nin-Nin Game just cancelled my order for the Exia Avalanche weapons plus pack version. I was still able to order the non weapons plus pack version elsewhere though, so I guess all is not lost. I really wanted the weapons plus version though. I don't think I will use Nin-Nin again for special pre-orders...

    As you can see in one of the pics my "hobby table" is loaded up with valks so I will not get a chance to play with them until I clear some stuff off lol.

    NY, but I would think it was the carriers that damaged the boxes.

    Both of my sets arrived today, but to my dismay the box came like this: The G parts seem to have been unaffected, but my F parts box was really bad. I did a fast look over the F parts and they appear to be OK. When I get time I will inspect them really good to make sure there is no damage to the actual parts themselves.

    Yeah my sets are also from NY, I hope the payment notifications are not broken too.

    OK.... I went to the site and checked my orders and it says that both of my Tornado sets are shipped. I never got an e-mail stating so. I chose EMS shipping btw. The tracking is showing that it's moving through Japan atm.

    When looking at the artwork for the game there are supposed to be fold crystals installed in to those 2 holes. Looks like they decided to get lazy and not install them.

    Yeah I guess you are right, I did not even blink an eye when I found the weapons plus version. Maybe I should have read lol, but I was I was kinda late to the pre-order for this so I rushed.

    My second unit via registered air mail showed up yesterday! Now I am thinking I could have saved a bit of money on the first unit by going registered airmail, it was a only a few days difference vs EMS.

    I also got my first unit yesterday, I did not have a lot of time to mess with it yet, but so far the paint looks good on this sample. I did also notice the pilot issue someone else here mentioned. It's like he wants to lean to the left. I looked at the seat and am guessing he is supposed to be pressure fit in between the little tabs in there, but am not sure. I can get him in there it just seems like he is not molded to fit this cockpit perfectly. I am in the camp that feels like the tail fins should have had detention so that the tail fins would click in to the position it should be in at least for fighter mode at least. The paint is nice on this valk, I am glad Bandai decided to cut the gloss finish for this release and go with the matte finish. I have not transformed it yet so I cannot comment on that yet. So far I am happy I bought a couple of these, but I reserve my right to change my mind once I fully play with the thing.

    My first copy just made it in and out of customs and apparently out of SFO, I should have it tomorrow if the post office does not screw me over lol. My second copy is being shipped Registered Air Mail, so it may take that dreaded trip through LA.

    Nice! My second unit from CDJ might make it out of Japan before the holiday, has changed to shipping in progress.

    Yeah, this color scheme surprised me. When I was looking at all the promo pics the orange was way overblown, but once I got a couple of these in hand I was very impressed by the shade of orange that was actually used. One of my favorite Frontier schemes atm.

    Thanks for all the pics Swoosh, so glad I sprung for a second one last night. Someone mentioned this is a matte finish, is it the body also or just all of the paint apps?

    Hrmm, I had the same thing that happened to mike happen to me. Earlier I was trying to figure out what would be cheaper for a second unit CDJ, or AE. I was doing the checkout routine and then noticed there was no shipping in the total and just left it there. I got an e-mail confirming the order and it also had a link to my orders page. I went there and there was a button that allowed me to cancel, so I did. I hope this won't mess up the account or anything. I have never used them, but signed up just in case I ever needed to use it. Turns out with CDJ fun bucks, it was cheaper than AE shipped.

    CDJ are shipping the one I pre-ordered now, and I ordered another from CDJ. I had 2607 of said fun bucks, which brings the total to $207 shipped and I had an extra 47 bucks on my paypal balance I forgot about so I am going to count it as $160 lol.
