  1. Fury Road is to the Original Mad Max trilogy what TFA is to the Original Star Wars trilogy...it's debatable which one is a bigger ripoff of itself.

Mechanical Chain Bases by Kotobukiya.....you need to "chain" them together to make a decent sized hangar for 1/60 sized valks I also have some of the H-Hangar bases made by Wave, which must also be connected to several others in order to accomodate 1/60 valks.....they are OK, but not as nice looking as the bases by Kotobukiya....I think maybe if you painted them a darker color they would look much better....

It's looks good enough to me.....like some of the 1/72 accessories that match up really well with 1/60 Macross stuff...I even threw in some 1/48 figures in the pic below...they belong to are the all-Zentran support crew! I might have to buy some of those building....looking forward to seeing your completed diorama...

Very nice....who makes the mini buildings? What scale are they? They scale really well with the 1/100-ish HMR line......yet another reason to get the HMR line....easy dioramas! We need a dedicated ALL DIORAMA thread... .
  5. I was going to post something on that order...sometimes he out-Mikimotos,,,Mikimoto! Especially when he does the "early" Mikimoto stuff (SDFM/DYRL-era) which I still prefer to all of the style changes Mikimoto has gone through over the years...the most recent change done for Macross the First is pretty good... However, Romancer seems to struggle with capturing the look of Ebata's style for Macross Frontier...although he seems to get it right sometimes....
  6. Diva doujin by Romancer....
  7. Does anyone know if they ever released a CD or Video for this Macross show?

Anyone own these? Wondering if they would scale well with the HMR line... Maybe Bandai will eventually release Macross specific accessories for the HMR line...

Kazuki Miyatake complete supervision modeling and detailing, gimmick, of course, up to the color ring, were asked to supervision to Mr. Kazuki Miyatake is a designer of Destroy de monster. This time, at that time, the back side of the detail of dozers, which has not been set, have been raised to draw again Well....I'm sure he's a very cool dude!

Wow...that cockpit detail! Kind of hard to tell but it almost looks like the display screen shows a VF-1 it it's gunsight! Another home run for Bandai!
  14. I still have small children running around my home, so I totally appreciate not worrying about getting digital media "kid" handled... But I'm old school, so I still want the physical media... Although TFA is the laziest, most unimaginative, and overrated piece of movie garbage ever made.....I still own Episode I and Episode 7 it is still a part of the entire SW saga regardless of how awful it is, so I'll get it eventually.... I think I'll do what I did with the LOTR and Hobbit Trilogies and just wait for the inevitable "ultimate" edition after Episode 9 hits the market... Who knows....maybe by then they'll release an ultimate 9 episode "Church of the Force" edition!
  15. Finally sprung mine out of HLJ's collectibles jail....... I will ride eternal, shiny and chrome!!!!

Yeah....I've said it before...this HM/HMR line is pure genius on the part of Bandai...it is the perfect size for an all-encompassing line that mixes mecha from all sides....1/60 and 1/72 are just too big and cost-prohibitive to include some of the larger mechs and vehicles....sure there are some compromises but at this scale it is expected to keep the costs down and quality up.... Love...it's what makes a Hi-Metal R a Hi-Metal R!

Exactly what I had in mind..... I have no idea how to clean up an image in photoshop...so I may solicit for some backgrounds later...I'm thinking about taking one of the Tenjin Destroid boxart illustrations and editing out the destroid and foreground objects, like the Defender, Tomahawk, or phalnx in these pics...and just leaving the background image....
  19. ET's VF-2SS is not a trailer queen...more of a 10-footer!

I propose Macross needs an official "anime magic" scale....non-scale just induces useless scaling debates since the numbers, anime, and lineart all contradict each other...
  21. jvmacross

    Hi-Metal R

Or just simply go by this lineart....which is what seems Bandai is using for their HMR scaling...it's perfect!
