Agreed. It is sad to think how much of that priceless art is either lost forever or locked away in collections never to see the light of day again...

OK, I had to look that up.... Nonsense! Everyone knows Roy Focker is a manly man that does manly things like fly drunk into combat, womanize and eat pineapple salad....how dare you suggest otherwise!- 2504 replies

@Fortress_Maximus Here you go! Haven't thumbed through this book for years...at least a decade for sure! I had forgotten all about it. Anyway, it has plenty of genga for DYRL? some in color but most in B/W.....so in answer to your question.....yes a DYRL? Genga book has been out for decades...lol Super Dimension Fortress Macross Haruhiko Mikimoto Genga
-
Thanks for confirming, I thought I had remembered that book containing a fair amount of cel gengas. Still need to find my copy.
-
Sadly, I do not recall if such a book exists. There have been several genga printed in various books though. I have not looked at one of my older DYRL books for a long time and I want to say it may have a good amount of genga. I will need to find it in my book archives and see if perhaps it has a good selection of what you are looking for. BTW...this is the book I am referring to....

First time I ever printed a screen capture for a cel sequence.....crappy inkjet printer, but I think it's looks fair enough....I have always wanted to get a printout of the background for this cel sequence because the background actually is filmed "clean" before the cel images appear.....so no need to clean up or photoshop away the cel images.....anyways here it is....the cel is from SDFM Episode 6 "DAEDELUS ATTACK"... Hikaru narrowly escapes becoming a casualty of friendly fire! BEFORE...... AFTER..........

Looks like at least the chest armor also seems to include the abdomen black bit too.....don't care enough to examine the rest of it...- 2504 replies

Easy pass. What was supposed to be next? Misa? Roy? Will eagerly wait for non-released PO'd Macross figures any day over PO's or releases of non-Macross figs...- 2504 replies

I haven't stepped inside these type of shops for years....what I collect can't be found in these type of stores in the US anyway....but yeah....the vintage toy selling obviously isn't their main source of income...as you said, the shop simply funds their personal collections and that side cash has run dry....so the purpose of the show is to make us feel bad for them?

Seems just as bad or even worse than the last one....at one point didn't the shop owner use the show's platform to try and find a rare toy for himself?

Well, of course and movie concessions are the biggest ripoff everyone just goes along with.....bag of popcorn and 2 sodas for 15+ bucks is robbery...Even more when you start adding additional mouths! Anyways, I was only referring to paying for the movie primiere at home vs the experience of seeing it on the big screen...for me, there is no comparison....I have no issues paying for a movie premiere at the cinema and if I really like it, buying my own copy later....but I won't do that to watch it at home as a premiere then buying it again later to watch it again at home, I'll just wait until I can buy it...I feel bad for movie theatres....I personally will not go back until I personally feel Covid-19 is an extremely low-risk and to me that most likely means a vaccine or extremely low new cases...

Same here....I thought it was lame to not offer it for purchase when it first came out...it's not the same for me to "rent" at 20 bucks to watch it a movie at home as a new release vs the Big Screen...but I guess I am in the minority as I think it did better than the first one in terms of "ticket" sale revenue

I think as long as nothing has shipped, you may still be able to file a dispute....however, it would be best to either contact PayPal, Chase or go and read their Terms and Conditions....or just reach out to NY and see what they can do for you? Seems lately they have been more accommodating than usual...

Thanks guys....These Autoart cars are amazingly detailed... However, Autoart did make one glaring mistake on these '71 Mach 1's....something even the lowly Sunstars got right.... On '71-73 Mach 1's....the bumpers are color-matched to the car paint color....only the Boss 351 had a chrome bumper....and '71-72 non-Mach 1's...I hope they release a Boss 351 version at some point....unfortunately, this model has been retired for a long while now.... Does anyone own Danbury Mint cars? They make a nice 1/24 Boss 351....looks nice but not sure on the quality
