  1. Why not? They've already got the majority of the fighter produce-able.
  2. The one saving grace to the design is that the feet don't really fold up into the leg all that much so most of the room inside the leg can be use for something things. Though I hadn't even considered the necessary room for joints/etc. Geez.
  3. It doesn't fit together great but that model is proportioned pretty well.
  4. Better to be pleasantly surprised rather than let down though. I'm looking at it like none of it can be done. Even if they get partial that's a win for me.
  5. My feeling is in order to get the fighter mode sufficiently compact yet allow for a more bulky leg in Battroid that all internal leg stuff (minus the landing gear) may have to be abandoned.
  6. That's a lot of interesting stuff but I've gotta say, good luck fitting all of that crap into the legs and getting a slim fighter from it. I don't see how it's possible. Maybe Yamato will make me eat my words but I'm almost positive that the gun pod, at least, is going to wind up like the VF-22 and be left outside.
  7. Someone needs to get a pic of the 19 smashing a guitar over an amp.
  8. I suppose I really shouldn't be ask shocked at that price as I am. Thanks for the link. They do look very nice.
  9. What kind of cabinets are those? I really need something with glass to keep the dust down on mine.
  10. I agree. This way the cockpit can be set inside solid and there's room below for the bulbous Heat shield. That's close enough to PT for me personally.
  11. My idea for the heat shield, since the section beneath the cockpit isn't required for transformation they should just add an extra hatch below that contains the bulbous/funky heat shield. Just open it up, pull it out, pop it on top, and don't worry about implementing such an impossible PT because the one part to swap can be stowed right below where it needs to be.
  12. You know, seeing that collection of Macross 7 Valks it's too bad there's no chance the MAXL Custom will be made because that literally breaks up the band. Though I'm not a fan of Macross 7 or any of those specialized Valks looking at this picture I could see other fans being disappointed they can't get the entire Sound Force squad in 1/60. They may not even attempt the minor modification to the VF-17 for the Nightmare Custom either actually.
  13. There's a top and side cut-away in the VF-19 Master File book that shows where a few things go. Damn, that's a great pic. Really shows off the front profile well.
  14. After seeing these new pics I do wish I had ordered one. Oh well, if it does that well maybe there will be a second wave. In the meantime I'll check out the reviews from the rest of you lucky people.
  15. Hmm, that new pic of Gerwalk from the side makes it look a lot less like a fat-assed plane. I may change my mind about this one... not that it matters since it's sold out everywhere.
  16. In one of the past discussions somebody said it turns out because of how much room the hip mechanism/transformation takes the intake covers are built in and can't be removed. The designer even apologized for it apparently.
  17. That's one hell of a recommendation right there. Break it the first time you transform it and still praise it.

    VF-1 WIP

That model looks pretty sweet. Did you base it off of any kits or is it your own design?
  19. That was actually one of the major examples in that video Yamato made highlighting some of the transformation trouble spots.
  20. I don't appreciate the smart-ass response. I asked about fast packs and fold boosters, and was told there are spots on the "back" which was never specified what that meant, though I think most of us, unless we're the type to be bent out of shape by not using correct aeronautical terms, would also say the fast packs on the VF-1 go on the "back" in fighter, gerwalk and battroid. So that wasn't terribly clear. Also, Graham didn't say "no, they weren't designed with them in mind" he gave us a quote that was rather vague after which somebody speculated maybe they would be too heavy and considered a way to make them lighter. There's plenty of gray area there. So I asked Graham what that meant... and I don't recall you being Graham. Thank you.
  21. I specifically asked if it looked like there were spots for things like fast packs and fold boosters and was told yes. I didn't ask, nor did anybody mention, the sound boosters. I'm aware of the silly, over-sized shoulder pads. The YF-19 had smaller versions. I was curious if they had places to attach something like the fast packs anyway.
  22. What sort of issues would there be? Haven't others here already said there's places where it looks like packs could be attached?
  23. You know despite Yamato's best efforts with the VF-19 to look chunky in battroid (and it DOES look pretty chunky compared to the old YF-19) when you look at the pic in battroid versus the line-art that Jenius posted at anymoon it still looks like a scrawny bastard in toy form. I have no doubt Yamato will reach as far as they can for accuracy but don't count on it being quite the brute we would like it to be.
  24. Does that mean other variants will be matte instead? Or are other 19's like the Blazer glossy as well?
