I'd rather they tweak the shoulder packs first, though.
-
Careful Spoonie. You let it slip you'll be at Wonderfest and you're going to end up with a lot of pm's begging you to pick one of these up for everybody on this board.
-
Does it matter whether it's Arcadia or TREX doing it though?
-
This argument doesn't matter anyway as I was referring to the engineering of the VF-1 body, not the affect of aerodynamics based on the configuration of the wings.
-
I think it's interesting how the wings are pushed back and up on that Battroid.

I'm going to assume it's because Bandai owns the license to Frontier still. Do you think any other company is going to be allowed to make 1/60 Fast Packs from one of the movies? Speaking of "1/60" packs, comparing these to the size of the Bandai Super Packs would be interesting to see. One to match the existing Fast Packs, the other to match the shade of the packs from the movie?

Given that it was only ever seen in fighter we don't really know, but since the missile pods ape the clavicle pods on the 25 it would only make sense they were attached/function in a similar manner (plus they would be easier to manipulate on the toy in general if that bar were there.)
-
As with the 25's with those giant boosters on it would be even more impossible for the arms on the YF-19 to be out in Gerwalk with those boosters in the way.
-
I think they've done the shoulder armor wrong. I'm willing to bet the additional missile canisters are on that raised bar just like the VF-25 clavicle missile canisters are. Considering there isn't a snowballs chance in hell I can buy these I'll just go the extremely critical route to feel better about myself.

Even when you know how to do it, the transformation sucks. The fold down boob plates that like to pop off when you transform back to Gerwalk/fighter are irritating too.
-
If it will literally break the bank for you I wouldn't want to tempt you to buy one but if there is a way to purchase one I would highly recommend it.
-
The flaps on almost all of my 25's don't sit flush. It's frustrating. Not a deal breaker, but come on Bandai.
-
Yeah, they're still detached in those photos.
-
I'm not sure if you can do that or not. Interesting idea.

The intakes on the YF-30 detach in Gerwalk mode. It was always going to be on the ball joint.

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Mommar replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I haven't looked here in awhile. I can't believe people were so bent out of shape about Life Force. It's a great game from my perspective. Speaking of great games, Shovel Knight just released today and it's a pretty fun modern imagining of old-style side-scrolling games like Mega Man, Zelda II, etc...- 7048 replies

So you want to pay $500 in one shot?
-
Well now we definitely know for sure, unless there's some other trick up their sleeve, when that missile box is deployed the gunpod will not be attached. I do find that giant gap in the suspension of the gunpod a little disappointing. I'm curious to see the transformation now. Where are these pics from?
-
I'm wondering how many people are going to change their votes now that they have the YF-25 in hand.
-
Except they managed a similar effect on the YF-19 this time around.
-
I thought the way they did the intakes on the YF-19 was a good compromise for looks. I'd be perfectly happy if they pulled off something similar on the 0D.
-
How do you do that?

Articulation of the head is practically non-existent unless you only put the head on half-way, which causes a weird bit of gap. Shoulder articulation is practically non-existent and it almost totally just rotation up/down. Wrist articulation is purely rotational with no ball joint at all. And the rotation point is out at an angle so rotating too far in either direction looks weird and awkward. Leg articulation is weird. the bottom half of Mario rotates forward/back so the legs can raise up and down but there's hardly any play left and right. To do something like a Smash Bros. kick you have to rotate the leg completely backwards and do a funny bend with the knee. Ankle articulation is bad. Really, it's designed as Mario from the first SMB game and his movement is as limited on the toy as it would be in the game. It's not like the other Nintendo properties where they're far more dynamic all around. People want to build Smash Bros. displays and this Mario figure doesn't work for that. Though in general it's too limited to really be fun to pose on it's own outside of that niche. That's the summary anyway, but if you'd like to hear the long-winded complaint:

Unfortunately I'm hearing they really half-assed that Mario figure.

Given the intakes aren't connected to anything but the hip joints in Gerwalk I'm not sure nail polish will make a difference.
