  1. No it's not irrelevant. Yamaga distinctly said that the two would tie into each other once the show was finished. It's only a reimagining in that it's a parody of 90's anime, where Gunbuster was to 80 anime. The next episodes are supposed to be much more plot driven and serious.
  2. There's no doubt to me that Six is a Cylon that does manipulate Baltar. I did entertain the idea that it was all in his head, but that just does seem to mesh with the thoughts he's having. I also doubt completely that he's a Cylon himself. It kind of defeats the point of the character to just have him as another sleeper agent. Besides, Boomer was a sleeper agent, and didn't have some manifestation of it talking to her. I think it would ruin the character if that turned out to be true. It could be possible that whatever's in his head is undetactable to colonial technology. It just seems unlikely that he's making this all up yet still hitting the mark.
  3. They look nice and I love the original BGC. Still, I'd have to wait until I could get a good price on them. Especially since I'd have the get the whole set. No rush here.
  4. Since Anime-one released more episodes lately, it reminded me to watch this show some more. I've been pretty hooked on it. I like the character development and the hints at what's to come. The music's great, and I like the mecha designs. The CGI isn't half bad either, though can look awful at times. Still, the mecha designs warrent it and put it to use, so I can't complain. I'm on 10 right now.
  5. No. I never knew him as the guy who demands more cowbell, as I don't watch SNL. I know him for his film work.
  6. As cool as it would be, the sites either fake, or the worst designed politcal site I've seen.
  7. Actually, he steps down next month. Not a moment too soon in my opinion. He did great things early on, but his departure is long overdue. The real question is what Bob Igar's going to do about it. He supposedly agreed to take Roy Disney as an "adviser". Knowing Roy, a return to traditional animation would most likely be on his list(though he did work to get CGI together). Mostly, I just hope that some effort can come towards returning Disney Feature Animation to its former glory.
  8. Interesting... I'm sure the original poster will find that intriguing. That's one more piece of the puzzle. Thanks.
  9. No, someone bought it at Walmart without knowing what it is. I didn't say no one's watched it. I noticed the White Base too.
  10. Nice. I still haven't seen that film though. My dad bought it, then, while telling me what it's about to get me interested, he divulges the ending. What's the point of watching a film where a lot of the drama is based around a coming decision, when you now know what choice is made? M dad confuses me with his lack of logic sometimes...
  11. I finally voted Milia last time (tied her with Misa). To balance, I shall vote Misa this time. Still a close call.
  12. Over at another forum, someone found this DVD for a buck. No one's heard of it, ANN has no info on it. It's really awful to watch I'm told. Is it an anime, or a Chinese or something ripoff of anime? Are these things common? There are apparrently three discs out there. http://www.dvd-club.ch/dvd_selection_anime.asp?page=3 I figured someone on this board might have some info.
  13. 2D died at Disney with Home on the Range. This is just sweeping away the last remnents. Man does this tick me off. It's a shame that Roy reconciled. Had their lawsuit continued, it's possible Save Disney could've done something. Now that he's back on the board, who knows, but this isn't a good step forward. While I have nothing against full CGI films(I loved The incredibles and look forward to Advent Children[though mostly due to a love for FF7]), I just greatly prefer the work, look, and artistry that goes into a wellcrafted cel animation. It's not dead, despite what Eisner thinks, and cel-shading is a poor, hard to convincingly light, substitute.
  14. That's a great pic. Amazing story too. I'm looking forward to the finished product as well. Thanks for posting it.
  15. Last I checked, he ended right as he was about to lead Luke up to the Death Star. Can't exactly type any more after that, given what occurs next. Or would you rather he type what it's like being dead?
  16. I read that as he posted it. I never did finish it though. It's great stuff.
  17. Same here, I think 3 was probably the best character wise. Though the toy joke wasn't as subtile as it probably should have been.
  18. Lunar released episode 3 of Diebuster a couple of days ago. I might watch it tonight.
  19. I'll definitely pick those up eventually. About time some nice BGC stuff cames out.
  20. Welcome to the World Nighttiger. As you can see, like the real one, it can often be harse and cruel to those that don't read the memos.
  21. The Robocon trailer was ok. I wonder how this will be. EDIT Looked to be the same thing in better quality. Cel animation looked good. Though there seems to be a fluctuation in detail. CGI went from good to awful in some shots, and there's way too much. It's like they're depending on flashy CGI to impress the majority that seem to like that sort of thing. The voice acting seems to be on par with anime dubbing. Really out of tone and unrealistic sounding. I'm not impressed, nor put off. Meh..
  22. Toughie. Looks wise/attitude - Millia, she's just plain hot. Personality wise - Misa, she's a bit more down to earth. I like DYRL Minmay a lot. Though I suppose one can't pick or choose, and TV Minmay's too immature. I may have to abstain. The call is just too close. Though having not seen M7, I can't fully judge on Millia. though my avatar seems to vote for me...
