  1. Unfortunately, there's nothing else in my Macross Plus books. This was the only other image I could find: I don't have any software to do screen captures so I can't help you there.
  2. It's too much a stretch. It reduces the entire human race to happenstance of a single gene pool and that's simply not the way it works. The events of each Macross sequel might as well have taken place in Tibet for all the connection they have between each other. Kawamori and Co. even admit that including Max/Milia in Macross 7 and Roy in M0 was for purposes of fan service only. It feels forced each time they do it and it makes for bad fiction. Roy had no character arch worth his inclusion in Zero and Max/Milia looking like they were still in their 20s was ridiculous. I'd really prefer it if they stop doing that and concentrate on new characters. Just my opinion.
  3. It might just be neglected for the VF-25 because the angles shown so far didn't emphasize the lower portions of the cockpit. In those shots that did show the inside, it was important to emphasize the X-Gear system and draw the viewers attention to that rather than the exterior outside the cockpit. The VF-25 is shown utilizing extensive interior holographic systems inside the VF-25 cockpit, so these could be a replacement system or supplemental. It's also important to note the VF-171 is shown with the wrap-around imaging monitor system in the cockpit. Several shots show this clearly. I think the VF-25 might have the wrap-around monitors, they just haven't been shown yet.
  4. You could tell the relatively low polygon count from the Deculture Edition back in December. The first tracking shot of the Macross 25 was very telling, especially along the edge of the city shell. This shouldn't be coming as a revelation. Chronocidal is correct, this is a series that is on a budget, no matter how impressive that budget may be for an anime. You're not going to see big budget, Zoic Studios style BSG animation with models in the millions of polygons. Keeping the polygon count moderated is probably the only way they could produce this level of animation detail and quality in an ongoing series. Besides, I don't see too many people complaining about color mistakes on freeze frame in traditional cel animation. For my part, I'll take a few lower polygon shots over the horrors of AnimeFriend in SDFM any day.
  5. Not a bad theory. We have to watch to know for sure. Damn, this is going to be one really great week of sci-fi. I can't recall the last time I was this excited about multiple new productions. First Macross Frontier and now BSG. I'm going to have to bottle some wine this year to commemorate 2008 in my later years
  6. The what? Never heard of it. I'm thinking that's probably a good thing.
  7. Interesting. I suppose it's possible. Perhaps screen captures would help.
  8. Yeah, that's good. I was sure Egan wouldn't make such a major move if it jeopardized the content. This move was the right move, IMO. Better format, better access and more help for Egan. Trust me, I know how difficult it is to run the whole show yourself
  9. LOL @ kensei and Gubaba. But in all honesty, I can't disagree. Crap indeed
  10. Well, regardless of preferences and those who haven't overindulged in the DE (acknowledging veffidas) I don't see this new edit as lacking anything. However, I do see it as failing to bring any appreciable gain to the series. I could watch either version, DE or BV, with near equal enjoyment. The only problem I have with the broadcast edit is that I now wish both versions were edited into something larger. A hour episode sounds great to me
  11. I like wiki, flaws and all. If this Macross Compendium move had happened a year ago, I would have been all over it helping out. But now, I have the M3 that I must concentrate on. But I think everyone appreciates that I work on the M3, so I have an iron clad excuse
  12. MisaForever I'm afraid I didn't get it. Send me a PM with the address to which you sent it and we'll talk about there. DT Good catch. I guess that makes it official. Though, I suppose since it's the Deculture Edition and not the final cut, is it official as yet? Oh the hurdles us fans must jump!
  13. I'll see what I can find in my books. However, I'm working now so I won't be able to get to it until much later today. I might not have a good shot of the helmet rear, but I do know for a fact there are several in the anime itself. Unfortunately, it would take some searching.
  14. It's the class designation, MisaForever. The Macross 25 still appears to be a New Macross Class Colonization Ship (at least as far as we know). Like the Macross 5, 7 and 13 that we see in the Macross 7 anime and the VF-X2 Video Game. The Macross 5 is composed of the Battle 5 and City 5, as is Macross 7 composed of Battle 7 and City 7 and so on. Hence, in Macross Frontier the whole ship, when docked together, is designated the Macross 25. The transformable ship section islikely still called Battle 25 while the main city section (normally called City 25) seems to have been changed to Island 1. Now it's possible the "Battle" designation might be dropped or changed (like the "City" designation was changed to "Island"), but for right now I think most fans are comfortable with the established nonmenclature.
  15. I agree it's taking official information too far to say the VF-19 is retconned out of the canon. Kawamori actually doesn't give an "in universe" reason, only a production reason. And like I've said time and again, Kawamori and Co. make decisions always based on the current anime and to hell with continuity. But even so, this does not preclude the VF-19 from existing anymore than the VF-1 or the VF-0. All it means is - in universe - the VF-19 was not continued as the main variable fighter in the Frontier era. That's all we can say for certain. This does mean one thing however; Kawamori stating the VF-19 was removed from Frontier for similarity purposes means that our speculations (hopes) for seeing the VF-19 in Macross Frontier are very remote.
  16. Those sneaky Macross fans. Quietly coming out of nowhere to unleash new websites upon the unsuspecting fandom. It's a good thing I never acted like that It's nice to see some new Macross Frontier information. Looks like Egan has confirmed the F and S designations. His notes about Kawamori's quotes on the VF-25 are very insightful. This is some great stuff.
  17. I am looking for the RAW, but can't see it on any torrents, video sites or otherwise. AC My apologies, I misunderstood. For some reason that RT site seems familiar. I think I've seen it before, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away Whatever it is, it looks like someone hit it with the MySpace ugly kit. Egads, is it terrible to look at Zinliquer I think you just made a new classic line: obsequious toadie badge. I love it
  18. Thanks Komilia. And Welcome to Macross World. AC They actually published a reference book? Bizarre. Well, I've not read it, but I bet my site is better
  19. Keeps getting better. Looking positively Isamu
  20. That's rather unfortunate for the RT.com crowd. On the palladium boards, the response to Macross Frontier has been quite good. There are a few jerks, but the moderators don't tolerate trolling and most trolls are smacked down hard. Most everyone else is excited. I post updates and help spread the latest news in a dedicated Macross Frontier thread over there and most love it. I never visit RT.com. I wonder...for you guys that go there, has there ever been a topic about my site?
  21. Thanks for all the pics T-Sniper. And btw, Welcome to Macross World! DT A good guess it was. It makes that it was a rough cut since the show wasn't officially released until April this year. I'm looking forward to seeing it. UN Spacy I just checked Veoh and YouTube. Nothing has shown up yet. We may actually see the RAW show up online soon so we can at least watch the show even without subtitles
  22. I'd like to know as well. I've never done the "real time" following either. EDIT: Wow. Nice pictures. That looks like the Attack Mode of the Macross 25 to me
