Good to see you back Kurt! Your 1:48 Custom's are stuff of legend around these parts. I always was a huge admirer of your work. I look forward to seeing whatever it is you come up with! A few people here still worship at the alter of the mighty Yamato 1:48, but generally everyone has moved on to the better (IMHO) 1:60 Ver.2 from Yamato and now Arcadia. I only had one 1:48 Roy and sold him off years ago.

SONOFAB*TCH that looks fanfreakingtastic! And DAMN now I reeeaally need a Hi Metal VF-1J to pose with it!!! Bandai is just killin it this year with SDF Macross stuff -- Regults, Glaugs and Monster all in the same year-- didn't think I'd ever live to see the day!

I love the feel of the TS paints as well. They are very good out of the can and event better decanted and airbrushed. I may go with the TS-85 for the X-9. Xigfrid -- What did you use to accomplish the darker red circle under the white kite, and is the kite a decal or masked and painted white?

Also got slightly more motivated as the afternoon wore on and fixed some paint mistakes on Baby Crabs.. legs and arms and body's are now 100% done! And here's the Delta Flyer all panel lined up.

Looks interesting Cap. In other news.. small side project...One of you horrible people on here got me addicted to the Eaglemoss Star Trek ship line, I felt like the Delta Flyer was just screaming for a panel line wash, so I'm doing that today. If you haven't checked these little guys out, they are pretty darn cool, and not totally wallet breaking.

Finally got a little time at the workbench today to work on Baby Crabs. I must say, I think that's the first time I've ever painted anything pink.. LOL.. anyways, I free handed the black outline on the arm with a fine point Sharpie.. only thing I could think of to do the trick. If I can make the other 3 look that good, I'm gonna call it a win!

I have the old Robotech "Remastered" DVD series and the video transfers on it are great, the best I've seen, short of the actual Macross Blu-Ray's I'm sure - which I don't own. However, the remastered audio is nothing to right home about. The changed sound effects are the most annoying part by far. As the series goes on the 5.1 surround mix gets better, but at the beginning it's pretty weird. A year or so ago I went around and hunted down the Robotech Legacy DVD Box Sets for all 3 series, dirt cheap if you look hard enough, one for the original audio, but two for the simply gorgeous box and disc art that set had going for it.
