Logical $$$ says SV-51. It's one of the oldest molds. K said he wanted to revisit it. It stays with the Mac Zero theme. Doubt I'll bite, never was a fan, but I know a lot here are.

I thought the same thing about the sliver mouths, but the shear awesomeness of everything else about the toy trumps that small detail. My only minor nitpick so far is that the yellow lion's number sticker won't stay down on the rocket launcher because of the round shape. Still love this thing overall. Best toy in a while.

No problem. The was my first commission build with lighting built for my boss and his kids over a year ago. He bought the toy and I put about 4 months of work in on it off and on to turn it into something pretty cool. It is a beast! As near as makes no difference it's 1/48 scale.

The pointy small Tamiya ones are good for very fine work, Hobby Lobby does carry them in my neck of the woods, but I don't use them for everything, way to $$$

If you guys want the best transformable Prime for the dollars, trust me on this, get the BIG G1 knockoff, MPP-10. It is absolutely incredible. Got mine for $99 shipped I think. Then $10 for the 2 little Autobot symbols to go on the shoulders. Done. -
that's amazing. All this 2199 talk has pushed me to finish the craptastic 2 kits on my bench (SDF-1 and 1/72 VF-31), so I can move on and start my 1:500 Yamato. It's officially going to be my next build. Super excited about it. Just finished watching 2199 for the first time, so while we wait for the next series, seems like a great time to build this beast!

Some prequel love finished up! Went to town weathering this little Battle Droid and his speeder, another great kit from Bandai, easy and fun to paint assemble and weather.

Anyone remember the first teaser poster art that came out that had the dark red Drakken on it? That would have been really good with the gold trim as well...I have that pic on my phone somewhere I think, used it as a wallpaper when Delta was announced...back when we all had hope...

I wouldn't count on it. If they announce anything other than another Roy or Hikaru Premium Finish, I would die of shock. Hell, I'd be all over a VF-1D re-release if they are just gonna do VF-1's. SOMETHING a little different jeeeeezus Arcadia--where good Macross licenses go to die.....
