Thanks wmkjr! Married life sure is different! Haven't had time to touch a model in 6 months, hopefully after the 1st of the year things will slow down a bit, and I'll be able to get back to the hobby! I did not ever pic up Capt's Legioss, just couldn't swing that one! One wedding picture.. sorry it's OT, but she looked amazing! :-)

As a friendly reminder from someone who glued all the little pegs in, wasn't there a way to fairly easily take apart the shoulders on the Yamato release BEFORE you glue the covers in place and flip something around where the rail cannons would point STRAIGHT ahead in cruiser mode? I seem to remember this being a thing on the 1st release. I glued mine in before someone figured out the fix sadly...so I 've good not straight rail guns for life.

Had a chance to mess around with it a little bit today, I gotta say, not overly impressed with the QC on this one Bandai, no where near the quality of the Destroids IMHO. Sprue marks on the SAP parts, and it's just...I don't know... finicky... perhaps it just down to the design of the thing, still I do like it, it's an odd duck, and I dig it. Kind of the red headed step child of old school Macross..

If they are gonna do a new and improved 1:48 toy, I hope they go all out and do it properly... I'd be in for one as a centerpiece, but I'm surprised they wouldn't do a VF-1S Focker to start off with. Ohh and I cringe thinking about the price of this thing!!!

I might pick these up on a deeeeeeep discount somewhere in the future, sorry, not even going to think about pay asking price for something that looks like it should cost about $75 on a good day. Plastic looks cheap as hell. Now, if you panel lined it, added some random 1/72 aircraft stickers or decals, weathered it a bit, flatcoated it, etc, maybe it would pass for a semi-nice display piece. Bummer though, I really was hoping and praying for something better than the Toynami's of old. This is definitely better, but only by a very, very small margin IMHO.

Gaaaahh.....I don't need to get into these!!! Wedding expenses have just killed me...But I SO need to! They do look fairly cheaply built, but then again....as many have pointed out, will we ever get anything better??? Most likely not.... Still gonna wait for the Jenius review before I even think about pulling the trigger. SO much on pre-order for the end of the year and early spring!

my Messer parts are still just sitting in LA customs since 11/11. FAIL... Glad I have my wedding that I have completely planned and executed to keep my mind off that slight annoyance in my life! LOOOL! So I have to set the record straight, I hadn't checked the actual USPS Tracking website, only the link from NY. LA Customs only had it on the 11th and 12th and sent it on it's way to to Fort Worth...however... UPDATE! Just checked again and now I see this! HAHA-- It was on its way to Fort Worth on the 15th, but apparently it wanted to go down to San Antonio for a margarita and some mexican food! Your item arrived at the Post Office at 5:58 am on November 17, 2017 in SAN ANTONIO, TX 78218.
