    Good old Human Racism might have been a motivation factor for resorting to Cloning to correct the disparity between Human and Zentradi.

    If sixty million is the area than just using Cloning tech to replace people leaving the earth each year, and losses in combat would keep the population stable allowing a natural increase to happen unabated.

    It was shown that in the two years after the end of the First Space War Many Zentradi were working it factories assembling complex electronic devices so I would assume they would be of some use in the reconditioning of the Factory Satellite even if it was gust doing grunt work. The main obstacle to rebuilding the Factory Satellite would be manpower not knowledge which they would have many hundreds of people on the Moon, and orbital colony who would have a Basic knowledge of OverTech. The Factory Satellite was in operation for a few Hundred thousand years to Four Hundred thousand years and it was only just showing signs of breaking down, and was still able to sustain a million + fleet of ships still prosecuting a war. I would assume sustaining a simi confortable life style for a few million people, and a modest cloning operation, and building One or Two colony ships a year would be Child's play compared to its former job. I seriously Doubt that the Cloning could rebuild the Human Race to its Pre SW1 levels in fifty years; it might be possible to double the rate of reproduction, or to replace the people that leave the Earth each year, or loses by the military. I think I will start or see if their is a thread for cloning to discussed this little known facet or Macross.

    You might want to look at some books like "the World After People" I think thats what it is called which depicts how the Earth would respond if Humanity vanished that might help you imagine. I know it isn't the same thing also books on Nuclear Winter, Climate change, Volcanic eruptions, they might also help you. I would assume the most damaging part of the Zentradi Attack on the Earth would be the massive introduction of particulate mater in the the atmosphere which would block out a large part of the Sun's energy for a months damaging the surviving plant life. Didn't a significant portion of the Amazon Rain forest survive so I would assume the areas of devastation would be centered on population centers and heavy industry since they would be the most easy to discern targets. The Zentradi main experience would be in targeting the Supervision/Inspection Army colony worlds, and Bases and they would need to element of surprise meaning hit the City's, Factories, and power plants, and Air fields first to prevent them from fleeing to space. I would assume that small plants might start to take root quickly, and start to spread out from patches of survivors also plants that can use Nitrogen from the air like clover will make the bulk of the new plant life as they would be able to grow on the baron parts that were glazed over by the weapons fire.

    My mother has watched Fridays episode for like the second time today and I have come to the conclusion that I hate this episode with Eli whining that it is impossible to build a star and the Born again Christian doctor bantering on like some Prior about Divine providence placing that artificial star system right in their path just annoys me.

    In the Next Generation episode Disaster the Enterprise is heading for a Star base for repairs after being hit by the Quantum Filament at the end. Voyager episode "Year of Hell" Voyager bridge is damaged to the point of having a hole section blown out with only a Force Field holding in the air (yes it Technically did not happened). Voyager episode "Deadlock" Voyager bridge is rendered uninhabitable, and is abandoned for several days. The reason why before Voyager's third season they never showed damage was they were using Physical models for the ships meaning they only had one or two detailed models for the show. In the last season of Voyager in the episode "Nightingale" Voyager is shown undergoing a substantial overhaul they even show several sections of her hull striped of the outer plates either they were being replaces, or just remover to get access to internal parts of the ship. It is easier to build a model for a Movie that can be altered to show damage like in Wrath of Khan than for a sries like the TNG or Voyager.

    The hole thing was kind of a let down with Tyler parents and who the Baby daddy is or is not. The egg laying scene at the end was interesting at least they did not go with the Giant egg from the original. RIP Georgi Viva La Resistance.

    I wonder what the secret is about Tyler's origins that spit his parents apart? Why did they not use stock footage from the original V series for the empathy test? I like Diana better than Anna as a evil beeach. Their is no persecution no one being forced to hid in their neighbors pool house, or be smuggled across check points by a Mexican Gardner.

    I was thinking of a reason why the UN spacy kept the transformation for the New Macross class ships was that the Earth scientist could never build a Macross Canon from scratch properly, and their imitations were unstable/Hazardous and it had to be kept away from the inhabited sections of the ship. Though they never had a explanation in M7 and Battle Frontier could fire its cannon while the ship was not transformed and attached to the main island. Why would a energy weapon have a recoil most High energy Particle don't have any appreciable mass like a Gun does.

    The Raptors problem was by the time it became operational the mission it was planed for was long gone, but in macross the threat of a Race of Giants was present with the Giant space ship crashing in to the Pacific. The per unit cost has gone way up with every cut of the F-22 purchase, and the UN of Macross has a strangle hold of World Finances after the Unification War meaning they can pretty much dictate cost per unit. Another Cost involved in the production of complex weapons like F-22 like Titanium are difficult to extract from their terrestrial mineral form were as the lunar ragalith contains a extreme abundance of Titanium, and other valuable metals in concentration much higher than on Earth.     It is actually similar to the B-1B. I know this is probably a stupid question why is that Bomber not scrap Metal littering the Scottish Country side if it had over flown the Scottish Main island? The Russians/Soviet got a way with destroying a S Korean airliner why can't United Kingdom the defend their territory from a Blatant/indefensible intrusion?

    Something tels me Basara would not even care if some one wanted to sing his song in another Language. From watching M7 it appears that Basara does not have a pretentious bone in his body abhors ceremony, pretext, and the rigidity of societal norms.

    I thought the YF-21 wing still had a structure in them and it was only the outer panels that changed shape because they fold up against the lower fuselage while in Batroid mode not mysteriously disappear like the Arm blades of the T-2000 in "Terminator 2".
