I think I want a Nora as my next purchase. I've always liked it. It will look good next to my yf-21

now that the yf-22 is out. Which version do you guys favor still?

1/60 V2 VF-1S Hikaru. Once my YF-21 comes in that may very well change.

yf-21 is dominating the game here

I think the YF-21 looks better imo (alien face and color scheme) but this Gamlin edition is pretty sweet as well. Are there any improvements between the 21 and 22?

Nice Review Pete. I'm going to be getting another figure soon. I have some v2 yamato 1/60 valks and they are really nice. I've been wanting to pick up the 1/60 yf-21 but I can't decide between that and these bandai dx valks. So do you have a preference when it comes to bandai and yamato? lol

My vf-1s hikaru has stress marks. I knew one side had them but I just noticed it on the other side as well. It's my second time transforming it since I got it 8 months ago. Will the stress marks get worse over time and break? Sigh hopefully the yf-21 I'm thinking of ordering is not of high maintenance.

I'm thinking as a result of making pin smaller, they'd have to make the plastic piece thicker so it doesn't have room to move around.

don't worry they already placed your order. they won't bother emailing everyone that emails them to confirm. Takes about a month. I was impatient and emailed them a lot. Finally they were like "LOOK AMERICAN FOOL WE PLACED YOUR ORDER SO CHILL OUT AND YOU WILL BE A HAPPY GRASSHOPPER IN A MONTH!" lol well they worded it in a very very respectable way. haha

just got my two arms for my vf-1s. very fast shipping. about a months time.. interested in doing business with them in the future.

just keep playing with it while handling the hinges with care. Order some parts from overdrive and just mess around with the broken hinges to see how durable they are while cracked. That's what I'm doing and I'm having a blast. This way I'll know how to handle the other version 2's I get.

Does anyone even have pictures of this toy in battoroid mode and gerwalk mode? I only seem to find pictures of it in fighter mode. Thanks

I bought a Roy with a cracked hinge on the left shoulder because I did not know how far I could push my pristine Hikaru vf-1s. I used it as a dummy version to see how durable it is. Even with a cracked hinge it held up pretty well and show no further signs of the crack getting bigger. I just paid for my hinges yesterday but I don't even know if I'm going to replace them anymore. It's not worth having to worry about it cracking again when a cracked hinge seems to relieve some of the pressure from the pin. But it's nice to know I have replacements just in case.

I just got into the game of collecting macross toys. So far I've only been buying the new 1/60's. Do you think it's still worth it to own at least one of these beautiful giant toys? People have been selling their 1/48 valks so it's throwing me off.
