  1. The silver lining is Macross toys hold their value pretty well and can increase in value. I don't feel as bad buying Macross toys knowing I can offload them at close to what I paid if I needed funds
  2. This new vid shows broken antenna during unboxing in Spanish. The owner actually glues it back mid video. >< https://youtu.be/hXRdSZReCLA
  3. Wow Bandai is killing it with their Valk releases. I regret not acting fast enough to pick this beautoful bird up. I wonder if this DX 1/48 VF-1 is similar in size to Arcadia's 1/60 VF-0. Arcadia better step it up.
  4. I am awaiting HLJ's response about my broken antenna. I'll take that 2500 yen. Lol The broken antenna sucks but it's not a big deal with a little bit of glue since the rest of my figure came in excellent condition.
  5. I really hope Bandai does a Fire Valk. Loving the YF-19 ^^ Before that please come out with the YF-21 ~ Beefy legs ftw please
  6. Mine came with a broken antenna. Both my tail fins have surprisingly been fine.
  7. The way Bandai engineered the toy to have a mechanism in place to fill out the inner shin is pretty impressive to me. It may be a minor detail but it really surprised me while transforming the toy.
  8. I too have a soft spot for the 19 as well. I appreciate and love the simplistic VF-1 because it is the grand daddy that started it all, but the YF-19, I feel, is also a grand daddy in it's own right for its front nosecone chest design transformation which seems to have influenced the more recent Macross Valk designs in Frontier and Delta.
  9. The Bandai DX YF-19 is my first Macross product by Bandai and I am impressed. I am glad I decided to try one of Bandai's Valks instead of only purchasing Yamato/Arcadia Valks. How would you guys compare the YF-19 to something like the VF-31 toys by Bandai? I feel a Bandai addiction coming on. Lol Now I regret not preordering Bandai's 1/48 VF-1J..
  10. Anyone have issues with paint on the wings? The design of this valk requires one wing to overlap another in battroid mode. I am curious if this would cause the white paint to scratch and darken over time.
  11. I tried to do something like that but it was so hard to get a good grip. That or my finger strength sucks. Lol
  12. Yeah I finally got it to release with the fishing line. Hopefully it becomes easier l next time >< Finally got it transformed to battroid mode. It is so beautiful. Lol Although the paintjob on the chest vents are sloppy..
  13. I am having a hard time unattaching the tabs to the wings for one side when I want to transform from fighter to another mode... This is my first transformation. Any advice? Lol I tried putting fishing wire in between and prying but it's getting scary.
  14. Awesome. I second that. I would love videos going from battroid back to fighter. Lol
  15. Is there anything different I have to look out for when transforming this toy or can I just rely on the vf-19 advance transformation guide by ScorchedEarthToys? I want to transform but have been waiting on a new transformation guide. Lol
  16. Crap. Mine came with a broken antenna. Bandai what the heck.. What's the best way to remedy this? Do I just use a bit of super glue?
  17. This makes me not want to open up my YF-19 when it arrrives. I don't have that many hours to spend transforming a toy and being fustrated ><
  18. First time I've seen these pics. Lol
  19. Sigh I folded and bought one at $270 shipped from HLJ. My wallet is hating me.. And I'm frightened how the spouse is going to react. Haha
  20. That is comforting to know. Thanks man
  21. Are the Yamato (v2) and Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 toys prone to loose hips over time?
  22. Really? It's one of my favorite toys from Yamato.
  23. If I am looking for easier transformation and more durability (as much as possible), would the Yamato vf-19 be better to pick up over the Bandai DX vf-19 toy?
  24. I want a VF-1A Max TV custom ^^ Come on Arcadia
