  1. Will check through my old mags, seem to recall a B-club kit. Graham
  2. Heh, I laughed when I saw the tube of super glue in the picture. Common with prototypes though. Graham
  3. Yep, definitely a longer neck and straighter head lasers there. The head lasers appear to be unpainted (they loock blue to me), I guess this is just to emphasise that a deifferent material is being used. All good. Just hope they improve the crotch lock as well. Graham
  4. Haven't been keeping up with this thread. Has Thora done anything past episode 18 yet? Had a quick search but couldn't find any more eps. Graham
  5. I'll second that question. I skipped DX7, cus' the Frontier article was only ships and no VFs. But if DX8 has more VF info & pics, I'll definitely pick it up. So Sketchley or Renato, you guys got it yet? If yes, can we have a summary of the Macross Frontier article contents please? Graham
  6. Have asked Yamato about the whole limited issue thing, but no reply yet. Graham
  7. The Yamato Ingram looks amazing. Even though I'm not a huge Patlabor fan, I'm half tempted to buy one. The spare ammuntion storage feature in the left leg is cool, but is it anime accurate? I don't ever recall seeing it in the TV series/OVA/movies. Mind you, it's many years since I last watched any Patlabor. Graham
  8. Not so far. Maybe there will be some news from the hobby show this weekend. Graham
  9. Sold them..........Heck No! I threw some away in the trash, gave some away to my domestic helper, so she could send them back to her kids in her country and tried to give a few to my son, but he turned his nose up at them, with a greedy eye on Daddy's 1/48s and V2 1/60s. Selling them never even crossed my mind. I mean just who the frak would want to buy them in this day and age, when there are so many better options available? Graham
  10. Where'd you get the yellew stickers from? Are they from the model kit SMS action stands?
  11. Well, my first issue VF-25F is starting to suffer crotch block unlocking in battroid mode with the Super parts fitted. Came home last night to find it slumped backwards in the display cabinet. To be fair, it has been transformed quite a number of times. Haven't tested it yet without the Super Parts, hope it is still OK, as it used to be fine. Now with the Super Parts fitted it's very difficult to get it to stay locked at all. I really hope the crotch locking will be improved for the Armored VF-25S, as I imagine the weight of the back armor packs will be much greater than the Super packs. Graham
  12. If these weren't blind packed, I'd be interested in buying just the VF-19Kai, VF-19S, VF-19F, VF-19P and VF-2SS. Although the VF-2SS does look a little odd in the photo. Probably the angle. Absolutely no interest in the VF-1 figures and only minimal interest in the VF-0 and VF-25, as there are better, bigger toys available for these, for the most part. Agree that the 1/250 scale is odd, but they probably couldn't use 1/200 as Yamato has that for the VFC line. Graham
  13. SDF-1 already confirmed. 3 Valks on shortlist for next all new PT VF. Not sure if choice has been made and work has started yet.
  14. That's what I thought you meant. Doesn't bother me at all. I seldom used it. Didn't like the rattle.
  15. When you go by the Japanese MSRP, then yes. But not always by street price outside of Japan.
  16. Err.....No.
  17. 1) Yamato were never really happy with the original 1/72 YF-21. 2) The VF-X2 VF-19A didn't sell that well. It was never a case of Bandai blocking release of a VF-X2 VF-22.
  18. Theoretically yes. Regarding the VB-6, Yamato's licence is for the VF-X2 version. Theoretically, Bandai could also have a licence for the Frontier version.
  19. Heh, I'm old enough to remember when the .357 magnum was a common round for US law enforcement & the 9mm was the esoteric.
  20. Initial impressions are that it seems to be, but until it's been out longer, in more peoples hands, it's difficult to say for certain.
  21. Just to make this clear, there is no secret licencing deal between Bandai and Yamato to decide who makes what. Licencees such as Bandai & Yamato can only negotiate directly with the franchise licensor, i.e. Big West, over who makes what. Basically Bandai has the exclusive on Frontier for at least the next few years. As I understand it, licences for SDFM, DYRL, FB, M+, MII & M0 are negotiable on a scale/type basis. There is no exclutivity. M7 & MD7 licences were previously Bandai exclusives, but may now be open to others (stay tuned for further news).
  22. "Circle-Bar Verniers" is the approved MW term.
  23. Well, bit the bullet and went ahead and placed my order with OverDrive for two of the Ghost+weapons set and one of the Fold Booster+speaker sets. Was originally planning to get one more of each, but the higher than expected price of these has nixed that plan. Remember the heady days before release of the DX, when we were all excited cus' these toys would be cheaper than the Yamato offereings......Hah! Graham
  24. Guess your've never heard of the F104 Starfighter then? Graham
