  1. Holy crap, 1/48 scale! Didn't see that comming at all. Wonder if it will be marketed as Perfect Grade. That's gonna be huge, like 39cm long in fighter mode! Think we need a new thread for the 1/48. Graham
  2. Heh, as much as I love the original movie, that line always made me laugh. 40 watts is err........................like on the extremely low-end power wise. If Arnie had said 40 megawatts, or 40 gigawatts, I would take it a bit more seriously. Graham
  3. Nice! Will definitely buy one of these, but can't see myself buying multiples or any other characters. Graham
  4. There was a TIAS Dynamite 7 source book??????? Is that confirmed in the new issue of chronicles? Any scans of the cover, ISBN number etc. The only Dynamite 7 book I ever heard of and own was the one by Movic. Graham
  5. Very nice, will definitely buy one, even though I prefer Ozma's colors for the Armored Pack. Graham
  6. Don't worry, there's already been photos published showing the missile hatches can open.
  7. Looks like your 25th Anniversery 1/48 VF-1S has been decapitated! Graham
  8. The official stand that Bandai was promoting for the VF100s was criticised for not allowing a spread leg stance in Gerwalk mode. IIRC, it only allows the legs to be positioned parallel to each other, straight down. Graham
  9. Oh well, I checked Animate at lunch, but Great Mechanics DX 8 was already sold out, so I bit the bullet and ordered it online. Will let you guys know what's in it when I receive it, if Sketchley doesn't get it and post first. Graham
  10. Thanks for the tip. Download it this morning and been testing it. Seems to be pretty easy to use and works well, although it takes a while. My first test conversion of an MKV (Thora Mac Frontier ep 1) to AVI went well, although I forget to check the subtitle box, so no subs on my first test conversion. The acid test will be when I try the copy I burned to DVD on my stand alone DVD players. Graham
  11. Will check through my old mags, seem to recall a B-club kit. Graham
  12. Heh, I laughed when I saw the tube of super glue in the picture. Common with prototypes though. Graham
  13. Yep, definitely a longer neck and straighter head lasers there. The head lasers appear to be unpainted (they loock blue to me), I guess this is just to emphasise that a deifferent material is being used. All good. Just hope they improve the crotch lock as well. Graham
  14. Haven't been keeping up with this thread. Has Thora done anything past episode 18 yet? Had a quick search but couldn't find any more eps. Graham
  15. I'll second that question. I skipped DX7, cus' the Frontier article was only ships and no VFs. But if DX8 has more VF info & pics, I'll definitely pick it up. So Sketchley or Renato, you guys got it yet? If yes, can we have a summary of the Macross Frontier article contents please? Graham
  16. Have asked Yamato about the whole limited issue thing, but no reply yet. Graham
  17. The Yamato Ingram looks amazing. Even though I'm not a huge Patlabor fan, I'm half tempted to buy one. The spare ammuntion storage feature in the left leg is cool, but is it anime accurate? I don't ever recall seeing it in the TV series/OVA/movies. Mind you, it's many years since I last watched any Patlabor. Graham
  18. Not so far. Maybe there will be some news from the hobby show this weekend. Graham
  19. Sold them..........Heck No! I threw some away in the trash, gave some away to my domestic helper, so she could send them back to her kids in her country and tried to give a few to my son, but he turned his nose up at them, with a greedy eye on Daddy's 1/48s and V2 1/60s. Selling them never even crossed my mind. I mean just who the frak would want to buy them in this day and age, when there are so many better options available? Graham
  20. Where'd you get the yellew stickers from? Are they from the model kit SMS action stands?
  21. Well, my first issue VF-25F is starting to suffer crotch block unlocking in battroid mode with the Super parts fitted. Came home last night to find it slumped backwards in the display cabinet. To be fair, it has been transformed quite a number of times. Haven't tested it yet without the Super Parts, hope it is still OK, as it used to be fine. Now with the Super Parts fitted it's very difficult to get it to stay locked at all. I really hope the crotch locking will be improved for the Armored VF-25S, as I imagine the weight of the back armor packs will be much greater than the Super packs. Graham
  22. If these weren't blind packed, I'd be interested in buying just the VF-19Kai, VF-19S, VF-19F, VF-19P and VF-2SS. Although the VF-2SS does look a little odd in the photo. Probably the angle. Absolutely no interest in the VF-1 figures and only minimal interest in the VF-0 and VF-25, as there are better, bigger toys available for these, for the most part. Agree that the 1/250 scale is odd, but they probably couldn't use 1/200 as Yamato has that for the VFC line. Graham
  23. SDF-1 already confirmed. 3 Valks on shortlist for next all new PT VF. Not sure if choice has been made and work has started yet.
  24. That's what I thought you meant. Doesn't bother me at all. I seldom used it. Didn't like the rattle.
  25. When you go by the Japanese MSRP, then yes. But not always by street price outside of Japan.
