Who drew the Con pic? Graham -
Hmmmm.......if fighter mode is useless, then I won't be buying this game (even if I had a PS3, that is)! Not really interested in any of the other mecha, except possibly FMP. Although killing those ugly Gundams would be fun! Graham

Very nice. I'm a sucker for anything VF-17 related. Graham

If it's a new story to be serialized in Dengeki Hobby magazine, I imagine it will be something similar in format and content to the monthly Gundam 'Advance of Z' or '00P' stories serialized in Dengeki Hobby. If that's the case, it could either be really interesting or complete crap as these Gundam side-stories that get serialized in Dengeki Hobby tend to be full or really wacky and hideously ugly looking MS variations, that have all sorts of crap hanging off them. I hope the VFs don't inherit the same curse. Graham

Looking good. I think the VF-171 canopy and longer nose are going to be the most difficult part to do of this custom. Graham

Big 'NO' to any transformers style gimmicks in Yamato Macross toys. Definitely no light piping. As someone else mentioned, to have light piping for the eyes, that usually means the back of the head also need to be clear plastic. No light up or sound gimmicks please, either. They are usually pretty tacky. Unless they can be fitted into an accessery part such as a booter, they will usually compromise the sculpt in some way. When Harmony Gold tried the light up eye gimmick with their MPC VF-1, most us us hated it. As for joints, I don't recall being impressed by the joints on Transormers toys. Most of my sons Transformers have at least some floppy joints. Graham

Official Bandai 1/100 VF HI-METAL VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie

How exactly does the gunpod attach to the connecting piece? It's not quite clear from the pic. Does the gunpod's handle (grip), just slot into a rectangular hole in the connecting piece? Graham -

The Amazing Spider-Man, on Blu-Ray/DVD Nov. 9, 2012
Graham replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Anytime a director whose only experience is music videos is asked to direct a genre movie, it's a disaster just waiting to happen. And agreed, we don't need another origins movie. Is there anybody on this planet that doesn't know how Spider-Man got his powers by now. Graham -
Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time
Graham replied to JELEINEN's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I actually bought it on DVD when it was first released (although I forget why). I think I managed to sit about 3/4 through the movie, before ejecting it from the player and tossing it in the trash. Graham -
R.I.P. Only seen Perfect Blue and own the DVD. Great movie. Have to make an effort to see his other movies. Graham

Still haven't seen any of these yet and wasn't even aware they had made a '3'. Graham

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Graham replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've had this theory in the back of my mind for a while now, that Lucas may pull off a huge retcon with Clone Wars and completely change the Star Wars story, with Anakin not turning to the dark side and not becoming Vader, but instead being killed by Vader, as Obi Wan orginally described to Luke in A New Hope. Sounds crazy, I know, but so far though seasons 1 and 2, Anakin is just too goody goody, to be anywhere remotely near turning to the dark side. While he's still impulsive and does things his own way, having Ahsoka as a Padawan seems to have brought out a more resonsible side to him and mellowed him quite a bit. I don't recall seeing any flashes of anger from Anakin or him losing his temper yet. Graham- 1217 replies

Wow, that's ugly IMO. Looks more like something out of Super Robot Wars Original Generations, than from Armored Core. I remember when I used to play Armored Core on my PS1 and it had nice looking realistic mechs. Graham

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series

Another reason for not wanting to sse Phase II armourin series 3 (besides it looking fugly), is that I don't want to have to buy a whole new set of Phase II Clone Trooper toys for my son. He's already got about 30 different Clone Trooper figures and if I buy anymore, my wife is gonna go ballistic! Graham- 1217 replies

Haven't watched the season 3 trailer yet, but I hope the Clones keep their Phase I armor in season III. I far prefer the look of the TV Phase I armor helmets, looks more heroic IMO. I always hated the look of the Phase II helmets. Yes, I know they bridge the gap between Storm Trooper armour, but they still look ugly IMO. Graham- 1217 replies
