  1. Anybody know which day in November is the series 4 release date? Graham
  2. Hah!......what did I say! Master Files books never come out on the scheduled release date. Anticipate seeing this some time around June 2011. Graham
  3. Yeah, I use the shop points all the time and had everything maxed out to their limiter on maximum ages ago. But it still takes ages to max out everything when the limiter sis off to 99,999 points. There's a heck of a lot of mecha. Graham
  4. At 260hrs, I've probably got about 60-70% of the mecha maxed out to 99,999 points. Gonna take a long time to get em all maxed out. Graham
  5. Any enemy or friendly capital ships in the game? And if so, are they actual full size, or the reduced sze as in MUF? Graham
  6. On a sorta related note, I just saw the A-Tram movie DVD is out here in HK today. Gonna pick up a copy later today. Graham
  7. So is the enemy AI more intelligent in Trial Frontier, compared to MUF? Also, is the shop system the same? Graham
  8. Agreed, not evey book would work as a film, or even needs to be made into a film, but there are a huge number of books that would make excellent movies. I'd certainly prefer Hollywood try to mine books, rather that just make endless remakes. Graham
  9. Been playing again recently. Now up to 256 hours. Graham
  10. Also, in the real world, long-range, i.e. Beyond Visual Range (BRV) missiles, are seldom used at beyond visual ranges, due to the mostly politically-driven Rules of Engagement (RoE), which require either (a) a firm visual ID of the target with the mark-one eyeball, rather than just an electronic Radar or IFF ID of the target and/or (b), that you be fired upon first by the enemy, before firing back. Possibly, similar strict rules of engagement are frequently in place in the Macross universe? Graham
  11. I'll eat my hat if a Master File book actually comes out in time! Graham
  12. If the YF-21 got as far the tooling being cut, it would get made. You don't pay all that money for tooling and not make the product, unless you are bankrupt (which Bandai ain't, AFAIK). IIRC, we've only seen pics of a resin Hi-Metal YF-21 sculpt, not an actual ABS test shot from the molds (although I may be remembering wrongly). Graham
  13. Problem 1a: Hollywood seems incapable of coming out with new, original movie ideas. Problem 1b (directly related to 1.a): There seems to be few if any screenwriters capable of having an original plot idea. Solution: Novels! Now pay me millions of bucks, Hollywood, for solving all your problems! I know I'd pay good money for a series of movies based on the books of Peter F. Hamilton! Robocop, Total Recall, True Grit were and are great movies. I have no need, or conceivable desire to pay good money to see remakes, which will in all likelyhood be markedly inferior to the originals..........especially in 3D!!!!!! Graham
  14. I'd pay to see those in 3D! Graham
  15. And on the subject of books, there are literally thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands of fantastic books out there, that have the potential to be made into great films. Why the film industry seems to be stuck in this rut of endless remakes and remakes of remakes, is beyond me, when there is such a wealth on great new, original material out there, just waiting to be adapted to film. Graham
  16. Will definitely be buying the following from those new releases: CW29 Mandalorian Warrior CW34 Undead Geonosian CW35 Clone Trooper Draa CW36 Clone Commander Jet CW40 Obi-Wan Kenobi (New Super-Articulated sculpt) CW41 Clone Trooper Hevy in Training Armor CW42 Cad Bane w/ TODO-360 (New Super-Articulated sculpt) Disappointed to see no Aqua Droid there though. Graham
  17. To be honest, I personally don't care a rat's ass about more Hi-Metal VF-1 toys, but I'd buy a Hi-Metal VF-0D, VF-2SS w/SAP, VF-17, VF-171, VF-4, VF-5000 in a heart beat. Basically, I'll buy anything that hasn't already had a release from Yamato. Graham
  18. Get yourself to the library and borrow the book by John Wyndham at once (or even better, buy it!). It's only one of the all-time classic greats of science fiction and belongs on the shelf of every serious science fiction fan. Graham
  19. The swivelling pilot seat on this is amazingly well implemented. The whole toy rocks the socks off the earlier YF-19. Graham
  20. Damn, it's not molded in the correct colors? Somehow, I was under the impression, that it was going to be molded in blue, white and grey, not all grey. Oh well, not getting one, so no biggie. Graham
  21. Still waiting for my R2 DVD version to arrive from Amazon Japan. In the meantime, I downloaded a raw BluRay rip and watched it on my PC. Was actually pretty impressed with the movie. I thought the battle at the end of the movie was quite epic. Graham
  22. Yeah, I also thought that. Graham
  23. 306, was definitely better than 305. Yeah, I like Ahsoka's character too. Stil want more Clones and more War though! Graham
