  1. I don't know why people think he's coming back as an Other or a Wight.
  2. Just because you guys keep repeating this isn't going to make it true. The holographic costume changes we've seen before in Macross were natural and realistic. What we see in Delta is straight up magical girl transformation. They are definitely NOT the same. This is the problem with the first episode of Delta: so much in it is not plausible. It's outside of my ability to suspend my disbelief. It's not grounded at all. Frontier largely avoided this problem (with a few notable exceptions).
  3. The full episode wasn't horrible, but there is just so much that happens that just doesn't make sense. And, of course, the totally out of place magic girl stuff. I'm not sure I can stick through an entire season of this.
  4. Clone Wars had some trouble spots, but it also had some truly great storylines--especially when they focused on the clones. Rebels just feels mediocre across the board.
  5. I'd take an extended version right now. The Leia scenes they cut from earlier in the film provide important information about the relationship between the Republic, the Resistance, and the First Order. I shouldn't be shocked they didn't put those deleted scenes on the Blu-ray, because a faneditor would have that back in the film within a few weeks of the disc's release. It still boggles my mind they left out those crucial bits of story just so they could save her reveal for later in the film. It's my one real issue with the movie, because the political situation in the galaxy is very confusing without knowing some of the back story that was revealed in the new books (which is NOT how fans should be learning about it). I blame this on Kasdan, as he was pretty open about his insistence that they cut more and more to streamline the film, and to "trust the audience" to figure out what's going on from what they are being shown.
  6. This Blu-ray release stinks of an impending double dip. I'd be shocked if some form of deluxe edition didn't come out in time for Rogue One. The bonus features are pretty thin.
  7. Jedi Padawans are still Jedi, along with Knights and Masters. Yoda tells Luke straight out that he is the last of the Jedi. Period. He (and Leia) are their last hope. And Rebels shows us Yoda knows about Kanan and Ezra. They have to be eliminated by ANH. And speaking of Padawans, thank god they dropped that term in the new movie and went back to using "apprentice." Edit: it's important to keep in mind that Rebels is first and foremost a kids show, and its status as canon can change at any point, really. There have been several instances of stuff being relegated to the EU after having once been considered canon.
  8. Well, sure, even Filoni said at the end of the day all of these force users are going to have to die. Not the point, though. We have the Rebel Alliance leaning heavily on the help of two Jedi, which pretty much goes against everything we've known for nearly 40 years. Never mind the fact that while being helped by the Jedi their pilots are flying around in state-of-the-art A-Wings several years before the Battle of Endor. Huh?
  9. Hell, one of the central themes of Rogue One completely contradicts what we have seen in Rebels:
  10. Of course I give a damn, which is why I'm moving on from this show. If I didn't care I'd just accept it. Sadly, Rebels lives in that space between fan fiction and fan service, which is something that plagued most of the content put out in the EU.
  11. Who cares? The vast majority of SW fans do not follow the show and are completely ignorant of the stories being told in it. Hell, almost all of the SW fans I know haven't even watched the prequels in over a decade. This stuff just isn't relevant.
  12. If you mean the prequels, then yes. If you mean the OT, I suggest you watch them again and then come back to your statement.
  13. /Film is reporting that Dave Bautista is joining the cast.
  14. Apparently, the "Bohemian Rapsody" trailer was not representative of the tone of Suicide Squad at all, and given the overwhelmingly positive response to it (and the critical backlash against BvS), they decided it was prudent to lighten up what was being described as an incredibly dark film. I assume it's getting a bit of a GotG and Deadpool makeover.
  15. Yeah, I have no problem with this. It looks right, and there is nothing about the retocon that upsets what we know in the OT.
  16. Potentially-cannon: A ‘Star Wars’ Animated Character Might’ve Appeared in a Live-Action Star Wars Movie? So speaketh Dave Filoni:
