  1. So, buy this pricey edition or miss out. Assuming the discs come in their own case and aren't somehow stored in the book, I guess you could recoup some of your expenses by reselling the book and whatnot on eBay.
  2. Kaiju No. 8 I rather enjoy it.
  3. Not to cross franchises, but the Jedi come off as almost Vulcan in this show. There's an air of superiority and righteousness about them that is not flattering, which I think is very intentional. I don't think we're supposed to like them very much. Though, I do like Sol a lot.
  4. No thank you. I'm not paying that much for a bunch of extras I don't want. I just want the discs.
  5. Two episodes into The Acolyte and I'm digging it so far. Doesn't knock my socks off, but it's a step above what we've seen out of the Filoni live action stuff.
  6. The Acolyte was review bombed on RT before they shut down the audience score for it. Fandom is so toxic. Critic score is sitting at 85%.
  7. They did a lot with a $15m budget. It's almost shocking how good it looks for that cost.
  8. Why the arguing over special effects? Godzilla Minus One is a good movie that did a lot with a small budget. It should be celebrated as it is. Is it going to look as good as Dune Part Two? No, but who cares? It's good.
  9. Am I the only one hoping for a standard edition that I can shelve alongside my other discs?
  10. It was good, but there was a lot of CG. Not enhancing shots or the natural landscape, but replacing them altogether. It's NOT Fury Road. This is a different movie. Major spoiler:
  11. Just got to the theater for the 6:30 showing. Reviews have been pretty good, but I'm a bit worried about the amount of CG seen in the trailers.
  12. This was a fun movie, I had a good time watching it. Not sure I agree with the decision to make Kong the main protagonist of these movies, but that's whatever. But hey,
  13. No. Just no. There is no sequel book. They'd be making it up on their own, and that's a whole different kettle of fish from adaptation. Just ask Benioff and Weiss. The show runners talked about wanting to adapt another really good Clavell novel, Tai Pan. I was excited by the prospect of that. I am not excited about this news.
