  1. lol What's a good game these days? Anything coming out soon I should watch for?
  2. Wanted to give a recommendation for a game that slipped by everyone's radar... Armed Assault. Check this video out of some fighter action. Then this one of a huge battle...
  3. OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNAP! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TP347BvgqM&feature=endscreen Really? Anyone doubt this show now?
  4. I wonder if John Moscato's large scale mech will be on the front cover in the future...
  5. Cannot wait for this crap! Looks awesome design wise (character and mecha).
  6. What about Carl's suggestion a few posts back. The joints could be 3d printed??? Just don't give up Captain! We won't either. Been waiting for this for too long. Thanks.
  7. These things went for a fortune back in the day. I have not paid attention to prices on these in years. With the Yamato versions being available, it seems to me they would be worth less than a few years ago, but then again the Studio Half-Eyes are getting more rare. I would start at $200 for all 3, but that's just me, and that's a lot less than they went for say 5 years back. I would wait until you have more responses before making a decision. i could be way off. Good luck, I love these kits when finished well, but you hardly ever see them finished.
  8. Yes. Picked it up relatively cheap a few years ago. It's missing a wing.
  9. Just wanted to show interest in Invid mecha as well at a later date, though at this scale, they might be pretty BIG.
  10. Down payment sent. This is gonna be so cool!
  11. The SOC Yamato has the same amount of panel lining as the Andromeda pictured above. Got mine the other day (Ami Ami). Kinda impressive, thought it would be bigger though. Didn't come with batteries for the remote, not sure about the ship itself, haven't really opened it up yet. Has some weight to it, but I hope it never gets knocked over. Wings just pop right onto and off of the ship, kinda slick.
  12. Can I sign up for 1? For some reason, this is my favorite mecha of all time. I just rechecked the (pardon the term) "gimmicks" you already had planned. Going to be amazing!
  13. Anyone interested in buying my used account? I'd sell for $40. Star Trek Online - Digital Deluxe Edition (Pre-Order) I enjoyed playing when it first came out, but I've been way too busy with work, and likely won't have any time for games for the foreseeable future.
  14. Level 9 still, add me... Char@Captain_Dick
  15. Did Cameron say he's doing sequels? I just saw an interview with him where he said he hadn't decided what's next, but there was no mention of Avatar sequels at all.
  16. While Salvation wasn't a huge success, it did make a bit of money. Salvation Gross: $371 million (Cost $200 million to make) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=te...orsalvation.htm For reference (yes I know about inflation)... T2 Gross: $519 million (Cost $109 million) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=terminator2.htm T3 Gross: $433 million (Cost $200 million to make) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=terminator3.htm What they really need to do is hold these series for established directors. Still, I enjoyed T:S more than 99% of the movies I've seen this year, and it was definitely better than T3
  17. Does anyone know if youtube compresses or has you compress the video to a certain format (.flv?) before uploading? I suspect so, as a HD .mkv file in the same length as this video would be several hundred megabytes, and I don't think youtube would have the bandwidth to upload that constantly for the trillions of videos they host. If there is compression, then this vid looks worse than it really is. I thought of that upscaling and color changing thing, as I remember a few years ago, there was a lot of that going on with decoders like ffdshow. People were sharing settings that really cleaned up anime video playback compression artifacts.
  18. Edit: For people clicking the link, you might have to click the little HD button at the lower right of the video to see the HD version, then click fullscreen. I didn't think there was an HD release yet. This looked sharper than the DVD remaster I thought. What do you guys think?
  19. Yeah, the F-104s do make an interesting sound...
  20. I know I saw a fansub of OAV 1 before it was released in the US. 1994 or 1995, don't know. The rest I saw as they came out dubbed in the US one by one. I remember the 4th OAV took forever to come out, I kept checking every week at some shop in the mall in Spokane, WA (where I grew up). Anyways, Macross Plus is my favorite Macross. Great designs, music, action, and story. Love it!
  21. New desktop background! Nice pic.
