Again, it was disjointed in the beginning but I felt it really hit a stride in the last few episodes. Shame it won't be allowed to mature.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Thom replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, I ignore all of that. I'll watch the trailers, just enough not to be spoiled by too much but that's usually it until I see it for myself. And really not even after. There have been videos pointing out the supposed flaws of movies I've liked that I've ignored simply because I want to keep enjoying a movie for what it is, just entertainment. One of the things reviews do, both good and bad, is to set preconceived notions. And if a reviewer is set upon showing all the bad* parts then that could be what people end up focusing on the most rather than just sitting in a chair and enjoying the show. Or just not going. But that's just my opinion. *bad could be anything from writing to acting.- 355 replies

@pengbuzz 'The gravitas of being Indy.' That's great! You know, I really don't listen their opinions. Usually, what they like, I don't, and what I like, they don't. And I think far too many of them are listened to far more than they should be.- 355 replies

Too right! That was great. Love seeing the parts going where they are supposed to go logically.

If it plays well and is a fun movie, hearkening to those things that make Indy 'Indy,' then I'll be happy. And if this is a stepping stone to a hand off' to a new adventurer, then that would be great too. I did like the Crystal Skull and was a bit disappointed that they didn't continue it with LeBeouf - although seeing how he imploded it may not have been a bad thing after all...- 355 replies

You know, I hope not, cause I hate to have these spoiles in teaser clips, as I would like to see this in the theater.- 90 replies

Good thing with this is that you really don't have to have seen the previous two. Does doing so help with some back story? Sure. But it's not essential, and some things like the Borg, ,will actually seem a little less confusing thanks to Season Two. In the end, it hearkened back to a lot of TNG, which was the point.

Not gonna watch that. ^^ It ruins the experience. It was a good movie., as usual with the GotG gang. A nice mix of humor and drama with quite a few bittersweet moments. Sad it's the last one, though I hope we will see these characters again.

@derex3592 Loving looking LA!

A continuation series doesn't have to have all the original cast though. The premature passing of the actors can simply be written in as past history in-story while introducing newer characters.

I meant to ask, is there a model club somewhere in your area? Long shot probably, but I wonder if you could get assistance for big sanding jobs such as for the Big D? As for money and the sudden pit that develops just when you need it, yup, pretty universal pain!
