Oh heck yeah...this the book I've been threatening to make myself for the last 15 years using a 'make your own artbook' process I've been waiting a LONG time for this! Its not just a book by the artists with a few Macross pics thrown in which we've lived with for 40 years before we got the Tenjin dedicated volumes. This is to be THE book on vintage Macross Model Art. I hope it sells very well, and they continue on with a volume 2 with art from post 1984 and include art from the Toys so we have it all in some definitive editions. Can't wait! I had fun with the countdown timer, hope it is not too annoying for a little bit

Box seems to be the same height as a VF-1J or VF-1S vs the max or kaki right? Seems very big...shipping multiples is sure to be fun. That case looks insanely large just to hold 6 of them

That is a totally bad-ass build! It looks fantastic! Love the paint scheme, and you packed an amazing amount if detail is such a small kit. We NEED a 1/48 of this bird. The color demarcation line reminds me of a shark, love it!

Was thinking about something weird today I saw this video... And it is incredible and all that...but it did something I never see. It launched the missiles but kept the mounting pylons on the wings In the animation we never see empty pylons on the wings after launch. Do they just eject them into space along with the empty missile boxes? Is there a factory onboard the SDF-1 that just makes pylons and missile boxes since they are throwaway/disposable after each battle? Or do they have Over-Technology 'air tags' in space and a cleanup crew goes around after a battle and collects them all for re-use. 😛

I'll bet we'll see a Miyatake drawing showing the dynamic original pose Takani based his on (like those rough draft action poses we saw in the HJ Vintage books..or was it the Kawamori book..one of those where they provided an action pose to the artist).
