  1. Floppy left shoulder 1:43 mark - https://youtu.be/qyZlM2CgxJA?t=102&si=-ZmrsO1fikrh8swO
  2. Really? If these are widespread issues, it might be prudent to cancel my preorder and wait for the Takara release 🤔.
  3. It's in the 3-mode promo pic @Black Valkyrie posted above. The head IS the cockpit. IIRC, the old drone had no head and still had what looked like a cockpit/canopy shape in fighter.
  4. A.I. unmanned drone? Or like a super robot where the pilot in inside the head. Cue "...and I'll form the head!" Liking the colors but wish there was less white and more black.

  6. Honestly, this scene (and others like it) is the only thing I remember about Astrotrain. Even as a kid, I was probably bug-eyed and scratching my head. I mean, Jetfire was already a stretch, Astrotrain is just ridiculous .
  7. Toon-accurate Astrotrain should also be able to accommodate at least 5 Decepticons inside Shuttle or Train mode... PO canceled!
  8. Congrats @rsvictor1976 on getting a hound figure. That panel behind the head really does irk me... reminds me of Universe Ironhide/Ratchet. A waste of money those two. Guess I'll stick with my Classics/Henkei Hound a little while longer. As @M'Kyuun said, it's still a great toy even after all these years. But c'mon Hasbro/Takara - 2027?
  9. Just a quick pic while I was moving stuff around in the cab...

Now if only Bandai did this for valks and other figures that are being scalped on the secondary market.
  11. Not really into the Megatron arm look but didn't want to leave the fusion cannon with batteries inside the box.
  12. The new one comes with this insert instead of the schematics. I'm thinking it'd be cool to combine this with the schematics from the other VF-0s and have it framed. Not entirely sure, but the plastic on the new one seems brighter white. I also checked the wings on both versions by placing them in front of my phone's flashlight and there's a difference. I don't know how to describe it but the effect of the bright light is different on each version's wings.
  13. Preorders for SS86 Sunstreaker finally showed up here. But the comments on Hound several pages back made me rethink my preorder. So, I canceled Hound after preordering Sunstreaker. Aside from the weird looking feet and incomplete rear in jeep mode, the ultimate deal breaker for me is that panel at the back of the head. You would think that that would be something that should have been eliminated from modern toy engineering. I've been content with my Henkei Hound for the past 18 years, what's another 18... or whenever Hasbro or Takara admit that it's now entirely possible to miniaturize MP Hound.
  14. My thinking now, of course, is I saved some money . I canceled my preorder for the SS86 when I heard about the heel issue and I never got around to getting one whether online or when I saw it in a couple of stores in HK (Takara ver.). Didn't think it was worth the price anymore and I had also just gotten DCS OP to replace the Earthrise OP I sold off... and I was content at the time. I am planning to get that Magnus version when it becomes available from my go-to seller. Edit: I was pleasantly surprised to find that my fusion cannon already includes batteries . The one I was watching online didn't have any batteries included in his copy.
  15. Sorry for resurrecting an old post. Wasn't sure where this goes... thanks for this and other YT reviews, I finally received my regular MD005 OP copy. Although I had to wait almost 3 months for this 4th batch to become available... good thing though, cuz I got in before the price increase. Amazing. All this for only $35. And the subtle aesthetic improvements make a world of difference... better colors (imo), no visible screws and seams, windshield options with no holes, head options, chrome wheels and rubber tires. Plus, qc on this thing (at least my copy) is close to perfect, which, sadly, I can't say for 1 out of every 2 or 3 Hasbro TFs I get, especially when they started with those open window packaging (paint touchups, joint tightening etc.) Wishful thinking, but I wish all TF releases would be like this.
