Riding the Code geass soundtrack wave right now. Nakagawa Koutarou makes some excellent o.s.t's (he also did Planetes) and I love some of the orchestral pieces he did for R2. The songs he composed for Hitomi are pretty cool too.

No song has more circulation in my ipod than Madder Sky right now

Just brings back the entire scene with

the death of Lelouch.

Compelling stuff.

I've been told that Wanzerfan is a fan of Justin Bieber, so here's a greatest hit from him.

I'm a fan of anyone who strangles that teenybopper.

Yeah, the SPCA and PETA will hound you down if you do.

To qoute Scott Ian Rosenfeld...

"F*ck PETA."

See, he admits it.

To qoute Scott Ian Rosenfeld...

"F*ck PETA."

And on that bombshell, let's all sing along...

Wanzerfan, Wanzerfan

Does whatever a wanker can

Spams the web with his lies

And he digs younger guys

Look out - here comes the Wanzerfan

Is he smart? Listen bud

His whole cranium's full of mud

Every post, every thread

No respect for the dead

Douchebag - a.k.a. Wanzerfan

Everything he writes

Should be classified a crime

Whether day or night

He arrives to waste our time

Wanzerfan, Wanzerfan

Friendly neighborhood wanker man

Set his name to Ignore

Common sense is your reward

Screw him

All of his posts are f-cked-up

Someone tell him to shut up

That dork called Wanzerfan

Okay, this is probably a MASSIVE long-shot, but does anyone know the artist and song title of the hook at the very beginning of this video?

I heard the actual instrumental song about a month ago on a local urban radio station (102.3 KJLH), and it also has a nice horns/brass section mixed in with the beat (not heard in the clip above).

The notes on the video you linked to say, "intro music by George Strompolos." So you have the artist...

So, I did a little more digging and found the name of that song/beat by George Strompolos. It's called "With the Punches." (Link to Song)

HOWEVER, I think the guy sampled the beat from another song for the following reasons:

  1. The song I heard on the radio did NOT have that secondary hook from the 42 seconds to 1:10 mark (the one that sounds like a "time is running out on your video game, hurry up and complete the stage!" theme).
  2. The song I heard on the radio also had this blaring trumpets/brass part that counter-pointed beautifully with the rest of that first guitar/bass/drums beat.
  3. Although it was primarily an instrumental song (ala "Pick Up the Pieces"), the song also had what sounded like kids screaming or shouting something in unison (like they were out on a playground or something).

Like I said, I have a feeling finding the name and title of the original song is gonna be a long-shot.

It's time to get down with the sickness!

No sh*t that it's time to get down with the sickness.

I think I listed a few of their songs earlier in this thread. God, do I miss playing True Crime: Streets of L.A. with "The Game" pumping out of the speakers during the shootout and racing missions (We have the albulm Down With the Sickness ripped on our original X-Box hard drive.
