I don't wanna be speculative, but some people told me that the stuff gets created in China, and before they get shipped to Japan to be sold there, some gets smuggled outta the factory to be sold to local retailers for dirt cheap prices, and thus the huge profits they make even when selling at 30% the going rate anywhere else. HONG KONG, no online store service. but I think the total price have not much different after add the shipping fee form HK to US..... for VEX , the shipping fee for a super 1J from US to HK is $41 usd total $122+$41=$ 163, i think it's just the same if the helper charge 10 % for handling fee. and one more thing, if you find someone at hongkong for help, and pay by paypal, the helper must count a little bit more, because the paypal system charge handling fee for the service, and the exchange rate from USD -> HKD is lower than than standard, around 1USD to 7.5 HKD so, maybe get a higher price finally.... this just good incase you have a friend having a HK touring Edited March 30, 2004 by 柿崎速雄 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
