Will be making a trip down to Hong kong next mth and was wondering how is the supply of macross toys in Hong currently. What are the 1/48s that are still available in the market and at what price. Other types of macross toys also. Maybe the Folks in HK can help. thanks

  8. Ooops. Sorry I don't know how to amend the polls I knwe th movie version SDF-1 existed But I thought it was a resin kit or something? by yellow sub? And is the scale 1/4000? or 1/3000? And it lloks fabulous! makes the 1/3000 matchbox looks like schoolboy toys hehe
  9. Any idea whats the scale of the aircraft carrier? seems big but I don't think its even 1/100 yet
  10. Wasnt really playing attention to the valkyrie that was on sale But more of the backdrop and the setting. hehe

    Macross 7 VF-19S

hey.. isnt that bad. considering tis $12.. cant really get the original valks are this price I must say. Anyway for the bootlegs, the bottom right corner of the box in front actually shows the face of the pilot while the original bandai one shows a bandai logo. Should be able to tell the diff next time
  15. Regrading the Conversion kit if there will be one. I was wondering how much modeling or customising skill does it require on the buyer's part? As far as I've read. there seem to be quite a few changes to be made to the original valk. and also we would have to change the original color to orange. Kindly advise if Im wrong thanks
  16. looks great! I like the miniture character figures you have in front of each valk? Where are this figures from? looks like the bonus figure from this Arri 1/100 model kits I have sometime back. But those didnt come painted, I guess you did a great job painting it!
  17. Hey is that a MG Gundamm Zeta???
  18. Whats the difference between the DRYL and TV version? Ay1 care to enlighten? thanks
  19. Okay, here are some useful threads: Scale Photo Gallery Scale of destroids and other toys Does eye candy rot yer eyes? 1/48 Valks vs Matchbox Battlepods? Hey thanks for the link! It seems that the pods are similar to the milla Qau which looks better displayed beside a 1/48 yammie than 1/60 despite it being closer to 1/60 or 1/55. It does look quite bad beside a yammie. haha
  20. Its true it looks bad beside a yammie. Cant really blame them since it was produced years ago. besides we do have much of a choice nw. I seriously don't see yamato coming up with these enemy figures within the next 1 year*I may be wrong). btw I tried to search for comparision pics or previous threads but failed to find any..
  21. I kinda understand what you think.. i have been comtemplating getting a regult pod myself(a officer or normal one). I think the only choices we have are the matchbox pods released quite sometime back. Im not sure whats the scale of those things. but think it will look quite decent beside a 1/60. maybe too small beside a 1/48 Any of you guys actually have them and display your yammies pr bandais with the matchbox regults? Im think it will look quite nice..

    Bootleg SDF-1

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...c=7627&hl=sdf-1 there is a previous thread similar to the one you saw The box and scruplt is the same The only difference is the colour on some parts. The saw you saw seems more original as the other one which is definitely a bootleg I believe the scale is similar at 1/5700.
  23. I use to have the item some tiem back. It is actually completely plastic, no diecast at all and the scale is 1/5700 if I did not remember wrongly. The quaility of the plastic is quite bad. As for the scrupt, it does look better than the Bandai. And I think its actually a bootleg However, in order to transsform, you have to remove certain parts. Ie no perfect tranformation compared to the bandai.
  24. Guess if "perfect" refers to the way the valkyries were designed to transform, the 1/48 is way out. Does anyone have any idea how the valks really transform in the aime ( diagram etc?) and will it be possible for a toy to follow strictly to that design? I rem see alot of designs to predict the 1/48 preferct transformation (there was a competition or something in the forum). From what I know, it should be similar to the swing bar of the bandais but the swing bars are "hidden". Any1 can provide any details? thanks
