VE-1 Elintseeker Build up

Hey All,

I’ve been working with n this bird over the fall. It has some of the photo etch set and some extra detail added to the cockpit. I’m using the colour callouts from the instructions.

That is starting off great. Do the parts require a lot of filling or just line up fairly easy?

Ah ... The VE-1 Elintseeker - I remember building mine like yesterday. It is a really rewarding build. I had everything down in sections, as the Hasegawa kit would allow it to be build. And then when everything came together, it was like a beautiful marriage.

@nightmareB4macross not too bad over all. I found that the sensor packs on the arms did not line up very well and I rebuilt them. I’ll try to get some photos to show comparison. 
 

@Urashiman overall it is a really great kit and one of my favourite designs! I have plans for 1 more lol.

@Bolt thanks buddy, I’m using my stencils over the black primer to make the subtle tonal variation.

Heres the sensors after being modified. Those seams did not line up at all. So I cut out pieces and added detail bits that I thought matched up well.

This kit has always been on my "should I get it" list. I always see it either in a store or online but have never pulled the trigger to get it. Maybe one day.
