davidwhangchoi Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago ‘Heat 2’ Is On: Michael Mann Crime Drama Moves From Warner Bros. to United Artists; Jerry Bruckheimer, Scott Stuber Producing (Exclusive)Mann is set to direct the follow-up to his 1995 feature, which has Leonardo DiCaprio circling to star.
505thAirborne Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If this truly becomes a reality, Michael Mann will have no choice but to include a shoot-out scene just like the original in that "extra loud" blanks are used outdoors, around buildings for that blistering echo effect and causes the movie theaters & your eardrums to rumble... otherwise, don't bother. While HEAT is 30 years old now (where did the time go?), it's possibly one of the most acclaimed crime-dramas ever made and that shootout scene in downtown LA is legendary.
TangledThorns Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago While I'm sure it will be made well HEAT2 is a sequel that movie goers never asked for. Hollywood is truly out of ideas...

Hollywood is truly out of ideas... Not sure why they even have to go there. Leo has been a bit chubby lately, is he just gonna roll after his enemies?

Interesting. I wonder if this is going to follow the book and jump timelines past and forward from the original movie. It could be good , if Mann gets the budget he needs.
