jenius Posted Friday at 05:33 AM Posted Friday at 05:33 AM That's cool! I'm looking forward to getting more than the Adam figure. Quote
jvmacross Posted Friday at 10:09 PM Posted Friday at 10:09 PM As an FYI....my pledge included the 3 Zentran spy figs, a Bolt and an Ace fig....so 5 of the Gluu-Gers... I also went in on the Khyron and Rex Serau-Gers.... So not sure if KC is throwing in extra figs as a "thank you" for your patience....so I appreciate that... With that said, the extra figs were random and not what would have been my picks...basically shiny paint figs (variants?)....unfortunately they gave me shiny paint figs for a couple of the non-spy figs....so not all excited for those...Will post pics later....at least the main 3 figs and the Khyron have the more anime accurate colors... As the box was sealed, not sureif the extra figs of the bolt or ace figs are randomly packed with either shiny or matte paints...not sure if you can request specific paint applications on those boxsets.... jvmacross Posted Saturday at 01:21 AM Posted Saturday at 01:21 AM BREETAI Serau-Ger "Special Edition".... This was the 6th figure included in the 6-pack...I did not order this fig...I am not sure if this is a free fig but the box is definitely made for 6 figs.... Additionally, note that the box says "Gluu-Ger" not "Serau-Ger"...not that either of those are "official" Macross designations as far as I know....also, as you will see in other box pics, the designation as "special" does not seem to be specific to the paint application type....metallic or matte....I personally prefer the matte paint application on these figs...so since I did not really order a Breetain, I guess I can't complain too much....however, I did specifically order the Serau-Ger Rex and sadly I received it with metallic paint instead of the matte paint version I have seen online...I may pick one up later... The figs look really nice, but as noted on the "Adam" and "Seth" figs...they are small and make me hope that KC eventually releases a fig more inline with the size of their 1/12 line.... A few other things to watch for....some of the parts in the tray are either very loose or super tight....so watch out for flying pieces if you get frustrated when taking them out....the neck ball joint is also super tight so it will require some small pliers to remove it and be careful as you do or it will also fly off like a missile from an Itano Circus barage! In general, I am satisfied to finally get my hands on these figs...sure it would be great if these were as tall as the 1/12 line, but for now they'll have to do....they go great with the Macross HMR line so that's a good thing too... jenius Posted Saturday at 05:48 PM Posted Saturday at 05:48 PM My review of Adam is up on anymoon and the video is on Youtube. Now onto that ToyR!se Legioss! Quote
jvmacross Posted Saturday at 09:32 PM Posted Saturday at 09:32 PM Everyone's favorite SDFM TV supporting characters....Bolt and Ace! Note that the boxes says these are "special versions"....again, not really sure why....I was thinking due to the Matte paint, but then I have a "Rex" with metallic paint job that is also marked as "special".....and Rico, Bron and Konda are also matte and "special".... Ace.... Bolt... Unlike some of the other figs, particularly Rico. Bron and Konda, the neck ball joints on Ace and Bolt were not super tight and we're much easier to remove the heads to play around with the various helmet and face combos....they were also much easier to pose and stand freely....these two figs were less frustrating to handle that some of the other Zentran figs... Big s Posted Saturday at 09:39 PM Posted Saturday at 09:39 PM Ace and Bolt actually look pretty cool, if they just fixed the elbow pad issue, they’d be a ten out of ten Quote
jvmacross Posted Saturday at 09:55 PM Posted Saturday at 09:55 PM (edited) Next up....Macross City's favorite toy scalpers....Rico, Bron and Konda! "special versions"....whatever that means.... Other than the heads and face pieces...there is no difference from what I can tell between Bron and Konda....it is kind of understandable that KC did not make a portly body for Bron....KC did decide to tweak Rico by attempting to make him shorter by shortening the boot/lower leg parts....the effect imo is sort of hard to tell when the figs are posed in a group shot....still, KC's effort is appreciated....
