nightmareB4macross
Wow, looks pretty cool. But, wait, WHAT...an already yellowing V2 1/60 vf-1j??? Wasn't this just released? What a crap load.
BlueMax
Very nice custom! Do you have pictures of how yellow it had become? I was kinda scared to open my 1J due to the exact same reason, especially when I would have to display in the open.... guess it'll have to saty in its box til I get proper display... honkhet
thanks for the comments guys my vf-1j hikaru yellowed probably due to too much exposure to sunlight, as my display cabinet is right next to a window... but really sorry i didnt take any pics of the yellowing 1J i used mr. hobby paints: neutral grey and RL66 black grey
mickyg
Very nice work! You use lacquers, right? Not the water based acrylics? Probably makes for a much more durable finish too!
eugimon
looks great, scary story on the yellowing though. I haven't noticed mine yellowing... < crosses fingers >

Excillon
Awesome job. My only suggestion is maybe a stripe for the chest plate. If you could find or paint a black one on it, that would look cool. Of course, white might work better since the arms/legs are white. honkhet
thanks for all the comments guys! i am truly grateful i'm afraid that i wont be keeping the grey CF scheme after all, i guess the loss of a hikaru 1J valk was too much for me to bear here's what i've been up to lately, hope to complete it by the end of this month:

Kyp Durron
or you could just not keep it in the sun... Yeah, I know he mentioned that it was kept too close to the window, it just makes me kinda paranoid. I like the "Low Vis" Hikaru scheme, it should look great next to the Low Vis 1S that's coming out. -Kyp
