I was kinda scared to open my 1J due to the exact same reason, especially when I would have to display in the open.... guess it'll have to saty in its box til I get proper display...

honkhet Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 thanks for the comments guys my vf-1j hikaru yellowed probably due to too much exposure to sunlight, as my display cabinet is right next to a window... but really sorry i didnt take any pics of the yellowing 1J i used mr. hobby paints: neutral grey and RL66 black grey

Mick, yup i used laquer paints will be posting pics of it in gerwalk and jet mode tonight, before i continue on the painting

Excillon Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Awesome job. My only suggestion is maybe a stripe for the chest plate. If you could find or paint a black one on it, that would look cool. Of course, white might work better since the arms/legs are white.
