I reposted the poster image below since Yahoo! Japan Auctions sometimes tends to remove the pictures after the auction expires. It's apparently JIS B1 size, which means it'd be twice the size of the launch ceremony poster.

On the other hand, I somehow have the pleasant misfortune of not having a proper stand to hang the following banner upon.

You can see both in kresphy's post that had shots of what I presume was an unveiling event.

Veffidas - thanks for that! It was late and I was a little lazy. And yes, Id say it is twice the size of a regular theatrical poster.

Awesome banner! I resolved a while back to get one of those! The problem being that most are in use outside of pachinko halls at the moment... ^^;

And who needs a stand when you could just hang it from the ceiling?!?! lol.

Im off to play a bit with some guys from the office this weekend actually :-) Am hoping they release some cool little Macross themed trinkets as prizes for the game (like with Eva).

Ok, managed to win myself one of those DVDs. Will take a week or so to get here. Im sure the only thing on it is the live action commercials, but will tell all when it finally comes.

Damn yahoo auctions...my wallet cries, hahahaha.

Finally got all the DVDs for the Pachinko game, including a set of keychains that were part of some promo set. One of the DVDs has some cut scenes, but not all of them. Another is like a promo showing footage of all the shows, and has some cut scene footage as well. The other 2 DVDs are promo DVDs of 1)the machine setup and V tligga (trigger), and 2) the other promo for the machine. Pretty cool stuff, and I'm glad I was able to get it. Now to keep on saving for the game itself. MWcon 2010, here we come (finger's crossed)

Kresphy - awesome find! I love her comment 'I wont lose to Klan!' hehehehe

These kindof events popup all over the place and its often impossible to know when and where they will be. I was walking home once and found out that I missed meeting Yuuko Miyamura (Asuka from Eva, the original Chun-li from SF2) at my local pachinko hall. Doh!

Any chance you can rip them? I'm curious what this stuff looks like at DVD quality.

Just got an account at rapidshare, so once I can get it to load right, I'll put it up fo you guys. I'm a bit new at it.

Oh, and Veffidas, what you found is pretty much what I have. There's another DVD with some other stuff, but not much.

I heard from a student today that he had spotted the Pachinko game in a Round One amusement centre in Osaka (presumably one of them between Osaka and Kyoto cities). He thinks it cost ᅣ100 per play; and there were Macross related prizes.

It might be worthwhile to check out Round One for the game in other areas.

So far, I have about $2000 saved up for this thing. I'm looking to get one sometime in August/September. That'll be around the same time I get a second raise this year, so the finances should be there, barring no crazy new toys come out that I have to get.

Yike! $2,000? So that's new right? I saw in this thread that its going to be about $500 for a used one in a year or two, that's certainly my plan (only plan).

Can I call dibs on yours if you get tired of it : )

Seriously though JasonC - keep me in mind in all your questing here. If you come across one that is used or not perfect PM me please . . .

If I find some available for decent prices, I'll let you know. I haven't looked around lately, but I'm gonna seriously look around June.

I got the full complement of promo material a couple of months ago off Yahoo japan auctions.

I was dissapointed, I thought at least one of the DVDs would archive all the new animation done for the game but its just quick cuts promoting the game and far from complete. I guess I was foolish to assume this.

So. Where can somebody find one of these for sale in the aftermarket?

The images and clips at the following links are the promotional materials Sankyo distributed through their website some time ago to pachinko parlor owners to advertise the Macross Fever game (see flyer posted by Maiden Japan). Wanted to get these files out so they could be preserved by other fans, too.

http://dropcanvas.com/l48au (370MB) - unzipped JPGs (for previewing)

http://dropcanvas.com/kobds (300MB) - zipped JPGs, (all files were distributed zipped)

http://dropcanvas.com/xvavl (1.45 GB) - zipped PSDs and WMVs (graphic artists will likely prefer the Photoshop Documents)

To keep bases covered, though, the following is the legal text that was posted on the download page:

The Pachinko game must run off of song energy. It's the only logical conclusion.
