The 1st Harlequins Is a Demonstrator Squadron...they do Air shows and the such Like the Navy's Blue Angels and The Air Force's Thunderbirds. They are not a combat squadron...That is why they have the paint scheme like they have.

I wouldnt mind seeing a top down view of those VF-11's in the DYRL schemes to see how it plays out. Maybe battroid as well? It would be interesting. But thank you for saving this thread with some good schemes. I'm not a fan of the "fan created RPG" looking stuff. Especially when it looks like it was done in MS Paint.

Thats right. Should have had them upgraded to F-14A instead of VF-301/302/213
No reason to insult a proud PACFLEET squadron, Hellohikaru, although I agree with you on VF-301. Oh, and my next requests are VF-161 Chargers, and VF-151 Fighting Vigilantes, with their Vietnam-era markings if at all possible. ^_^ Edited by Wolfman

Hey hellohikaru, do you also have a multi-layer template for the top view of the VF-11 Thunderbolt?

Unfortunately i dont. I've never seen any top view lineart for 11. I doubt they even exist. I can however supply my sideview template if that helps ?

The top view schematic of the VF-11 exists! I have it. It appears in the book This Is Animation Special Macross Plus. After I get home from work today I can post a copy for you.

hi, i'm new to the forum and i'd like to take a stab at coloring some of these. seeing what everybody has done has brought a smile to my face and makes me excited to participate as well!! the thing is tho, a lot of the line arts don't work anymore. =/

i was wondering if there are any working links to color from? i'm particularly interested in coloring what I think is a VF-2 that James has been coloring. I will guiltily admit I didn't read all 21 pages (hehe) but I skimmed through them finding some really cool stuff. if you guys could help with some line work, that'd be great! =)

Mr. March, did you take the top-views down? All I'm getting is a red X?

~Luke

No, they are still there. For some really large pictures, like the schematics I've posted, some computers will not display the pictures within an internet browser. This happens on my work computer as well. Regardless, you can still download them directly without having to view them online (right click on the link itself, select save as). Once you've done that, just look at them on your hard drive.
