Vic Mancini
This is a little off topic, but does anyone know a good/active Ghost in the Shell forum?
EXO
Not "active"... but there's a Shirow Forum, hardly anyone posts though...http://www.takotech.net/forums/
GogDog
Not "active"... but there's a Shirow Forum, hardly anyone posts though...http://www.takotech.net/forums/ Got a hold of a Perfect Piece JGSDF Arm Suit, which is in scale with the PP Tachikoma. Strange design, but neat and surprisingly posable. I had never seen a non-stock photo of this guy until I took them myself.

Chet
Megahouse, right? Want one of those!
drifand
The Megahouse Type 303 is really nice but since my Tachikomas are the 1/24 WHAM variety, I decided to get the same scale armed suit. Then, just for the heck of it I put some black 'blu tack' and suspended my blue Tachi on the ceiling of the glass shelf :-) I guess that's ONE advantage of the super-light WHAM figures! UN Spacy
Time to bring this thread back after one year. A new 1/6 Motoko is coming in May 2011. http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=FIG-MOE-2388&template=default/product/e_display.html
renegadeleader1
Anybody else own the old PS one game of ghost in the shell? the game was a blast to play, and the innovative ability to drive the fuchikoma up a wall and hang around upside down on the ceiling blew my mind. prior to that I had never seen a game allow that kind of mobility, and haven't seen much like it since. UN Spacy
I did a quick review of the GSC Tachikoma.
Neova
I did a quick review of the GSC Tachikoma. Nice review. I just got my Fewture Tachikoma from a trade and should compare it.
Chet
Never did get to buy that GSC Tachikoma. Asked a toy import shop to order it and they just couldn't be bothered to get off their fat @ss to do it. I wonder why GSC never seemed to follow up on this release?
Neova
If you really want it, it can still be found for ~ original retail price ~ 150-175 USD. If the shop is in Hong Kong, pm me and I can help you out. I need to re-shuffle my cabinet so will post pictures of the GSC and Fewture version later, but it has been posted in the last page. I think 1/18 scale is awesome as it looks good with the resin Appleseed Landmates, GI Joes, HT Aliens, Appleseed and Predator snap kits (says 1/20 but are really close to 1/18) and are a nice size, but the next step up needs to be 1/6 to get my blood pumping. No more weird 1/15, 1/12, 1/10 or 1/7 scale... Its usually within a few inches away from either 1/18 or 1/6 for not more money. Lynx7725
That is a REALLY nice sculpt of Motoko! Not quite Ms. King Kong though.. it's off somehow. But still a gorgeous fig.
macrossnake
Not quite Ms. King Kong though.. it's off somehow. But still a gorgeous fig. I feel the same. Great looking figure, but somehow doesn't look like her. (perhaps just the angle of the face?!)
Lynx7725
I feel the same. Great looking figure, but somehow doesn't look like her. (perhaps just the angle of the face?!) Nah. She just look too happy. Not the "I'll be happy to beat your face into the concrete" King-Kong Kusanagi happy. Doesn't have that hint of violence under the smiling eyes. EDIT: Hmm. Just need the eyes to tighten a bit, and the mouth to turn down a bit. I wonder how that navel manages to suck the cloth in though. IIRC, the hostler is a bit too high, IIRC it is more towards the belt level? Edited March 24, 2011 by Lynx7725
Major Focker
lovely figure. but pose and expression looks too soft to be motoko
Neova
Motoko can have a real feminine side right? And while late and overdue but to Drifand - your collection is amazing... I need to re-shuffle my display to be more like yours. PS: Fewture Gokin GITS 2nd Gig Tachikoma with batteries finally inserted (2x AA) under low light conditions. I think it looks great with the LEDs but too bad you cannot open the control pod since that is the battery housing. Control pod cannot be removed either and ball joints are loose! I need to figure out how to take the legs off and add some resistance to the joints for better posing strength. Overall, I love it for the weight, beautiful paintjob and it's character. When I have time, I will compare it to Captain America's custom 1/18 Tachikoma kit. Edited March 24, 2011 by Neova
UN Spacy
Another beautiful Motoko figure is on the way. http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=FIG-MOE-2593&template=default/product/e_display.html

EXO
that hair looks weird to me. Like they glued it on too high. Good sculpt, but it doesn't look like any Motoko iterations. I can tell it's suppose to be SAC because of the outfit.

GU-11
Ghost In The Shell SAC Figma figure? Why not Arise? GITS.jpg I'm just happy there's a figure of her at all. Been hoping for Figma to get around to making one for years. But yeah, an Arise version would be great. Her new look's grown on me. I wonder if a movie version is in the works as well.
