  1. Hmm, I think decaling in its purest form is easier than stickers. After all the only difference is that you cut it out first, put it in water and only then apply it. The major advantage is that you can actually move it around until it's in the perfect place until it dries. Major disadvantage is it's worse durability.
  2. At least you don't transform the ghost, so not much harm can be done.
  3. So the ginormous super pack boosters actually generate less total thrust than the main engines on the VF? That's weak. Barely more than the VF-1 super pack. I guess they are just based on normal liquid-fuelled rockets then. Otherwise they would have improved far further.
  4. Déjà vu... It's just old school sentimentalism...
  5. And here a rendering of a YF-24 in 3d. Courtesy of the VFX mod for YSflight. [edit]Host doesn't support hotlinking Go here for picture: http://vierzero.blog53.fc2.com/[/edit]
  6. I think these engines produce more thrust at idle than current jets at military power. How do they regulate power output anyway? Does the gear lever control a set of control rods?
  7. I don't know. The model seems more like a toy you build yourself instead of a factory worker in rural china. ABS parts and all.
  8. No, as far as we know the VF-27 doesn't provide provisions for mounting any accessory. Maybe a FAST pack but no super pack.
  9. As long as you haven't decaled or painted your valk yet it should come apart quite readily. Of course some delicate application of force is necessary but the leg fairing and shoulder pieces should come off easily. Most problematic area probably is the intake. Though yeah, I sure as hell won't take apart my decaled and painted VF-25S. The decals are already in bad enough shape as is.
  10. The Spacy logo still is red instead of low-viz. Looking at the pics the shoulder hinge problems seems to be solved by swinging the two spikes of the backplate out of the way. At least I don't know what else they could be good for.
  11. Figma? Isn't that just a normal Ziploc bag? You will still have a chest full of those and finding the right one takes time.
  12. Looks like they will still refine the design. Just look at the bridge, it's just a shapeless block of plastic. I guess the ARMDs are finished but the main body still needs work.
  13. As far as I know SK only laid down rough guidelines for the writers, at least until MacF. And even then someone else took over mid-season.
  14. So how do you manage the parts? Do you have a big drawer where they all go? Imagine you collect the entire line of 1/100 and 50 bundles full of parts are lying around. Organization will be a mess.
  15. Detail design probably means the attachment points are changed between super and armored so you can't switch those around.
  16. And if you go up to 28g your fighter instantly self-destructs... Who knows, we don't even know what the limiting factor is: Is it the ECA or ICS running out of power (a la Star Trek SIF), so consumption is larger than energy generation and it's running on capacitors only? Does some bolt shear off or enter it's plastic deformation range? (Then it wouldn't be time limited, either force is enough to break it or it just behaves elastically. Long-time wear from doing it too often is excluded.) So if it's ECA or ICS then I guess it can go indefinately at up to 27g and above that endurance is limited by capacitors.
  17. Soooo, can you remove the armor or is it permanently grafted on? If it's bundled I think it's the latter. But yeah, gonna get me one of that. Still have my 1/72 for bare mode after all.
  18. Hmm, the legs hang REALLY low. And the urkle feet don't look good on fighter but overall proportions are alright. Not a bad job for a mass produced 1/100. Lets hope it's not as "sturdy" as the Toynami 1/100s.
  19. Hmm, it is the right head and laser assembly but the way it sits so flat it might be that the fighter head is molded with only 1 Laser per side.
  20. Btw why does everyone want styrofoam as packaging material? Because it's retro and conforms to the own childhood? Toy completely suspended in plastic is just better.
  21. Super and VF-19 Kai are out. The way that guy pumps out fighters he got to have no life whatsoever.
  22. I think the armored VF-25s looks so low is because he didn't fit attachment points for the rear landing gear on so it just sits on the armor. I guess the real one will come with shortened rear landing gear. So that it sits a bit tilted like a super VF-1 but not so much that it scrapes the nose off.
