  1. Super pack combo is now available at HLJ, still waiting for the separate super parts though. HLJ wants my money now for some previous order but I am going to hold them off until the super parts get released so I don't have to pay more for shipment than necessary. [edit]Just noticed. http://www.hlj.com/product/BCL2880 Huh? Since when does B-club have the license to produce MacF kits? With that reduced price it looks like all the pro-modellers will finally get their fightermode only model.[/edit]
  2. Not better than FSX but it has Valks. http://ysflight.com/ Valks are here: http://vierzero.blog53.fc2.com/
  3. The pure thought of a Yamato virgin trying to transform my YF-19 or heaven forbids the SV-51 gives me shivers. Haven't even managed to transform the YF-21 yet. The sliding engines give me nightmares. It looks best in Fighter anyway.
  4. And I will start the thread in best MW fashion. The VF-25S has no neck and the lasers are bent so it sucks.
  5. The wings would have to be huge to generate 35.5g without a too high angle of attack. So it's basically all down to vernier power. And even those mostly just generate rotation instead of translation. I guess those simply are the level of g the airframe can sustain before breaking apart instead of what it can actually pull. Looking at those g-ratings though, the VF-25 would rip itself to shreds if it ever decides to go full boost on low tanks.
  6. Still waiting for the VF-171 here. Bandai sure is taking their time considering that they can push one gundam out the door every minute. Especially as those small partsformer VFs mean shorter development cycles.
  7. So anyone has any speculation what the other two blurred pics might be? VF-100 Michel? Maybe the third one is that red vajra.
  8. Well, they made the main user of the super pack and series hero web-exclusive. So who knows. They will try to maximize their profit margins on their most popular articles by selling them directly from the factory.
  9. I don't know how much that lineart can be trusted. Just look at the legs on that VF-11. It looks like a SD.
  10. Yeah if you want to paint your VF-25 then yeah you have to gloss coat it before panel lining otherwise just decal and line the bare plastic, that gives you the best results.
  11. The tail fins actually look fine in that comparo shot. Can anyone deduce if the VF-11 has been signifcantly upped in size? Looks slightly bigger than a VF-1. And it's sitting on it's rear bay doors with wheels extended. Seriously, the bay is twice as long as that wheel. Why Yamato why??
  12. Because then it would be like the dx. Misproportioned. [edit]Just saw the pics. Damn those rear wheels are tiny. But at least they fold flat.
  13. Pencil lines are too shiny. Makes it look like you have silver embedded in your panel lines.
  14. Updating a classic like Star Wars 20 years after release while changing major story points at the same time = lose. Updating a tv series at points where the budget ran out only 6 months after its end without changing story points = win. What's bad is updating Ghost in the Shell replacing all the beautiful hand-drawn images with run of the mill cgi.
  15. So do we just suddenly have a Mecha sitting on my parking space and my normal life continues or does it automatically spawn appropriate enemies? If first case then I would try to get a Valkyrie thats built for ease of maintenance like a VF-5000. That way I can use it like a personal business jet that never runs out of fuel. Around the world in 50 minutes, no need for landing strips and unlimited range is a winner in my book. Besides that it is one of the better looking jets in Macross. 2nd case I would just run away as fast as possible from whatever mecha because I just know that I am going to die after a week max in that thing anyway.
  16. It's bound to appear on ebay for double the original cost.
  17. To be fair, if the shoulder broke and I live in japan I would just go back to the toy shop and get it replaced with a brand new one. Unfortunately outside of japan it's not as easy. Overdrive made it a bit easier but it's still expensive and long delays are involved. Besides, we tend to whine a lot more.
  18. I have the YF-21/FP which can't hold a pose worth a damn but has a decent sculpt and the VF-11/FP which was very sturdy and tight. The huge shoulder joint wasn't a high point of the toy but that it is an old toy built to a price without CAD and large doses of anime magic. The DX isn't a collectors grade toy, It's just a toy.
  19. Did Kawamori approve the old Bandai 1/65 M7 toys? Bandai is giving you all the money so you don't tend to stick it to the man.
  20. That looks excellent . We definitely need some high-res pics stat! Or even better in my hands to feel every subtle (or not so subtle) curve.
  21. You are right, the model team did everything right. Even delivered more than you could expect from a model. Perfect transformation. The DX however is an old 1/72 yamato in 1/60 scale.
  22. Still the little auto-resize is there for a reason. Keeps everything manageable.
