That was one of my first thoughts watching. She was definitely raspy sounding and even cracked a few times, more than likely from singing too hard and too long in the rehearsals leading up to this show. She was like that almost from the beginning. You can see the look of frustration on her face a few times, poor thing. She also seemed be having trouble with her ear piece, trying to fix it and signaling the sound guy to turn it up.

No they don't. 8 hours of a cfl will give the same exposure of uv light as 1 minute of exposure to the sun. I have been using cfl's for over 10 years and none of my valks are yellowed.

If thats a spoiler so is every image of the yf-29. Both are only seen in the 2nd movie. Unless we are going to force a spoiler tag on all yf-29 images I think it is ok but that is just me.

10 1/2 months. I think the long time to disc was partly to blame on wanting the release as late as possible so the hype would still be pretty high when the 2nd movie hit the big screens.

I am a little bummed the one of my favorite universal bunny songs did not make it into either movie, Izolado(Isolation). When I first heard it I tried to picture what dark and sinister moment of the movie Sheryl would sing it. Maybe while being forced to sing while being held captive by Grace. When it did not show up in the 1st movie I assumed it would be in the second. So what was the new kick ass song this time? Last movie took 10 1/2 months to make it to bluray. Hopefully this will not take so long.

The 6 is purely on vocals. Both girls sounded pretty bad at times. Still a lot of the songs were well done with a few exceptions and Yoko and her band/mini-orchestra were flawless. When I pop in Final there are a few songs I just feel the need to skip. I still like the disc and the fact it is pure macross but it has its low points. May'n Act, while not nearly the same quality as Big Waaaaave, did not have the few fingernails on chalkboard vocal moments I get from Final. Plus the small venue adds charm to May'n Act.

Thanks for the review Tochiro! I had a feeling not only you would have seen the movie but also at one of the premier events. I would expect with it being a documentary style movie a lot of time would be spent outside of shows but I still wish the 60/40 split was the other way around. This still sounds like something I would get. How would you rate the performances? In relation to her other dvd's for a source of reference. Personally I find Big Waaaaave!!! > May'n Act > Macross Frontier Final with Big Wave being about a 9-9.5 with Macross Frontier Final coming in pretty low, 6ish imo.
