Anyone want to chime in on the odds they will make a $200 range no cockpit toy version? Slim to none? or are there peeps on here that bet its still coming? Or chime in on whether Graham can actually ask to find out? (while he's at it maybe ask about the patlabor line too?) Or buzz in as to where I might get a T-Rex guy other than via kidney-trade on Yahoo Japan?

Just re-read over the entire thread to get some facts straight. Realize the T-Rex will not fit in the pod. That's OK. I would just pose him next to it. Anyone bored of their T-Rex guy and want to sell? 2 Other things I noticed going back over every page of this post. 1 - If its going to be posed with non-weathered V2s I think weathering it much does not look right. 2 - I would want an extra one to shoot up like the end of the second episode and the T-Rex guy would work fine crawling out of the heap. The re-casters in China and Korea are probably fast at work doing recasts so maybe get the high end Yamato version to leave unbuilt or very cleanly built. And a $110 recast version for my 'Hikaru just shot the heck out of me' version... Of course to display this right I would have to get another 1D and rip its arm off and weather it as well. I'm surprised there are no pics online from someone setting up this scene with their Yamatos already...

So we're saying; IF one were to lay down all the jack for this, there's a greater than 80% chance we'll never see a cheaper toy version? ( I know, I know ) A $200 range pre-painted no cockpit detail toy release would make many of the current buyers cringe I think. Can someone here ask Yamato how its looking? The great minds at MW have no sneak peak into this type of matter? And EXO - was it you who was going to do your own Zent soldier? Did that happen? Or was it Jason C? If I did spring for this pod I would need the T-Rex or 'other' figure for it...

I see Hobby Link Japan has these for sale - that's probably not a good sign we'll see a cheaper toy version of this someday...

Saw Thor and KF Panda 2 both in 3D - much better in KFP2. Agree that toons might lend themselves better. But I do remember the Ice Troll scene at the beginning of Thor where the hammer struck the ground causing the entire rocky landscape to ripple and roll. That was pretty amazing in 3D. At this point if I had to choose I would take the 3D in most flics...

Well IT IS supposed to be the 3rd Generation VF isn't it? ( c r i n g e ) The attention to detail is more than impressive, its awe-inspiring! In episode #2 when the Legioss flies backwards - is that an error? Those are the FOD intakes you speak of correct? That scene always bothered me in that he could have gone to Diver mode and blasted backwards in a much cooler way. Anyway - this needs one more release with both 1I and Z heads (green and red) versions. That way all your customers can have the blue soldier and the red or green fighter to display. I know some crazies out there will try to make this one truly variable. If I tried that I'm sure I would end up divorced, or dead, and a ruined $1,000 resin kit...

I just looked up at my 1/12 Yamato Scopedog and thought, if that line was a financial success for Yamato, wonder if and when they see this Legioss sculpt what they might think?

Drooping air-brakes? Simulating 'loss of power' to motors? Motor actuators? Tires flattened on one side to show weight? FREAKING MASTERPIECE Guess I'll be getting the 01I Greeny version next for resting fighter mode...

Ha! E-Surance! GREAT take. That is horrible, just awful. I have twin 3 year olds and a 1 year old - we'll stick with the Clone Wars and Patlabor for now thanks. This would be beneath them...

Agree with Jenius in that they need to do a gimmick, like a figure you only get with the Phalanx or Spartan purchase. But I would rather see a Yamato chain-base / hanger sections. You get all the versions and you can build the complete hanger...

Saw it in 3D and liked the film, and even the 3D aspect. From the horror I felt in seeing the original still shots of Hopkins in that get-up, I cannot believe they managed to pull off a pretty good flick that I enjoyed. While I liked Iron Man much better, the concept of Iron Man is just so cool and I think many different teams could have made a good movie from that idea. But to make something of a 'Viking Super Hero' that isn't lame is a much greater accomplishment...

Really needs a snarling / fighting pose. with even more limited articulation IMO. This will look odd on a shelf with our 1Js. Like they decided to be friends instead of duking it out... Disappointed overall...

So when I see an SMS Jagd Doga FULL KIT, or Marasai Conversion kit - those are recasts off something else? Who? GSystem? Do they ask permission - did they ask WAVE if they could recast off their sculpt or are they just running an illegal operation?

SMS Question - I always thought they made original conversion kits, or full kits. But I saw a 'proshop' sale for an SMS Galient OVA piece that must have been recast from a WAVE Exclusive Resin Model. Is this normal? Would WAVE license them to recast an exclusive very hard to find kit? Or is someone just illegally recasting and calling it SMS?
