Wow, great job, especially considering you got it as a started kit cheap it turned out great. As far as the weathering, the studio 1/16 scale filming models were weathered a lot more that the full scale filming props, so the kit here actually looks pretty close to the condition of the 1/1 filming Viper. Millenia Models International makes some great add-ons for this kit, including fully-detailed Viper pilots (even includes parts for the annoying C.O.R.A upgraded viper), Viper guy and girl pilots, in scale, sitting or standing, and a Viper launch rail for the kit. I wouldn't change anything about your Viper though...great job.

pix of Halle Berry as Catwoman
Sarensaas replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Halle doesn't have that natural devious look. Jaime Pressley does; she could make for a great catwoman, looks hot(Posion Ivy 3...I rest my case), and was a gymnast. Jessica Alba and Kate Beckinsale were also good mentions... -
Well, I don't know why these fans are buying so many 0083 models then. OO83 is a cash cow for Bandai; for one of the worst gundam shows to date, thats pretty impressive. 0083 was released around the time of F91, and it was expected F91 was going to be the big Gundam story everyone was going to talk about...heh heh.

Armored Valkyrie ARII to Hasegawa modification
Sarensaas replied to Less than Super Ostrich's topic in Model kits
I am kinda suprised there hasn't been a resin FA conversion kit made for the Hase battroid. Is there still a chance Hase may come out with a FA kit like the super battroid? -
It will also be in scale with Bandai's new Enterprise-E for you Trekkers out thar...

I thought it was the best part of Ep 1, and the best saber fight ever, and the John Williams "Duel of the Fates" music enhanced it perfectly. I was dissapointed with the follow up saber fight in 2, so I am hoping the final battle in 3 has more of that fury that was in 1.

I'm reading a book right now on big-name comic book artists, titled Artists on Comic Art; it's a great book that I recommend. It was published in 2000, and it has a interview with Jim Lee that's pretty interesting, done in the wake of DC buying Wildstorm. Jim said that he didn't see doing monthly pencil work for a while because of the responsibilities of being a father and being in charge of Wildstorm and all the paperwork that comes along with it. It is cool to see him back in action doing excellent stuff on Bats. He sounds like a really nice guy, too. He would sit down with the other artists in studio and draw with them instead of doing the stay-in-my-office reclusive bigwig thing. His run on X-men in the 90's was legendary; those issues could not come out fast enough for me. And his Rogue was SO HOT! Then Joe Mad and the amerimanga looked washed in. It's great to see Jim back (even though he was never really gone with Divine Right and that stuff at the time).

Dude, when you look like that, it would be a shame to be stealthy. She puts the ASS in assassin...both times and then some.

Guess who might direct the new Superman Movie....
Sarensaas replied to Ladic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, it would be hard to make something better than Christopher Reeve's Supes. They should remake Supergirl, with someone like Amanda Peet, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rebecca Romijn Stamos, Scarlet Johansen or Jaime Pressley. -
Bandai 1/850 Enterprise A photos...
Sarensaas replied to wm cheng's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I agree the Bandai kit is less work; thats why the kit costs $60. The Starcrafts kit has good detail though, and there are some great aftermarket decals for it, as well as the scale issue. Polar Lights might be doing a Enterprise-A kit too, since their TOS 1701 has been pretty well recieved. Fans have been pulling for a PL E-A kit pretty hard, so if they do one, I'm snapping up that one. -
I agree; too much make-up. They went overboard on the cheekbones, too much red around his eyes, and the nose is too wide. I think they might be exaggerating Peter Cushing's features so that non-fans recognize who it is easier. I wish they would have went more subtle.

Bandai 1/850 Enterprise A photos...
Sarensaas replied to wm cheng's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Too bad they were not able to light up the hull lettering and registration numbers like the studio model in the movie. It would have been tough for them to do, but it would have looked great, and I would have bought it then. I bought the Starcrafts E-A kit instead, since it is in scale with the E-C, E-D, and E-E plastic kits. Nice job WM. -
I like the Vader hair helmet. It looks like the opening day of Jedi hunting season. Hey Mace, turn around...

LOL! exactly...and will the movie feature gunfights in which NO ONE gets shot or dies? Remember when they released that GI Joe figure that was based on the Fridge, William Perry, from the Chicago Bears? His weapon was this mace-like thing that was football-shaped instead of round on the end of it, I think? Well...that's one casting choice they don't have to work on. I say cast Clay Aiken as Cobra Commander. Jack Black as Destro.

This is a pic of the VF-11 FA resin add-on kit made by Tect in the 90's for the 1/144 Bandai kit. They made a bunch of add-on/conversion kits for the M7 kits in the 90's but this is my favorite. Heavy armor with that huge rifle. Anyone ever get this, or have a clue where to get it anymore? http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-10/610...1041/AA0502.JPG

One of the bad-guy heros early in the Kingdom Come story looks exactly like the Hygog from Gundam 0080. Apparently, Alex Ross, painter of Kingdom Come, has a large toy collection, so he must have a few Gundams and Patlabors in that collection which he used as reference. It's no suprise, since anyone can tell he uses a LOT of real life reference on his work. It sad the artist chose Asuka's Eva to make a quick Sentinel. Having worked in comics, part of the fun of doing them is coming up with original designs for characters. The super-advanced Sentinel Nimrod was a lot cooler looking and original than this one.

Has anybody seen this version of lodoss war
Sarensaas replied to stram8777's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Is it me, or does Deedlit have a TOTAL personality change in the second series? She is all laid-back and mellow in Chronicles, which doesn't seem like the original Deed at all. -
Nolan's Memento was really a good movie, and I felt the lead actor in it could have pulled off Bats too. Christian Bale is a pretty good choice, and has the good looks of Bruce Wayne to get the girlies into the seats. Since they mentioned a young Batman, perhaps this movie is going to follow the Frank Miller/David Mazuchelli "Batman:Year One" storylin, ala movie Daredevil's obvious lift of the Frank Miller Elektra storyline. Year One was a great story, which I liked better than Dark Knight Returns, so even though I am in no need to see a Batman movie for a while after Schwarzenneger's "KEEL DA HEE-ROWWS!!!!" Bat-schlock 4, they seem to be picking people that will make a little more serious Bat-flick...at this point. Arnie's Doc Freeze suit was kinda cool tho...in a 'C-3PO on 'roids' kinda way....

Go to HLJ's FAQ page(www.hlj.com); it tells what info you need to send for replacement parts, and the cost, at the bottom of the page. Then email parts@hlj.com.

Awesome news. I am a huge fan of FM3, so I really hope they bring it over the water for us. I can't wait to see the new mecha, and I am sure we will see toys like the FM3 ones, but I'd really like to see some HGUC-like models made of the FM4 designs, by Wave, Bandai or Hasegawa.
